/so kids, what's been going on?

23may2000: well.. hmph. i'm kinda disappointed i guess. i guess we are canceling any [not many] plans we had for touring this summer. we don't have the money, the equipment, and people haven't been giving us much feedback, so.. i guess we aren't doing it. we are going to concentrate on other things for the time being. we're going to have stuff to purchase by our next show. shirts, patches, and stickers. the show in davie last week was really fucking great.. we made some new friends, especially with a great band from boca raton florida, called kite flying society. we'll also have some of their 7"s for sale at the show. if you get the chance to hear them, i definately reccomend it. so, that's all the big news i have for today. other than my girlfriend turned 18 today, and i bowled a 158 tonight also, a new record. yay.

04may2000: the shows in south florida are good to go. we better get crackin'. i just heard some sad news about atari info shop. they might be closing down this summer. that is my favorite place we've ever played and i would be upset if they really did close. :(

03may2000: hey. the show at club q on 13may has been canceled, true north can't make it or something, so it is not happening anymore. we are not touring with the band we tried to tour with. so we're still riding solo for the time being. we wrote a couple new songs, and are recording in a couple weeks. i think we're doing a very small mini-tour with forstella ford and paris@2am. i'm waiting to recieve word on that matter. i just found $20. i'm tired.

21april2000: howdy folks. tonight i get to see danzig. hooray. kellin just bought a new amp. a fender full stack. kellin is now a tough guy. jeff put a down payment on a new drumset and will be paying his life away for the next month or so. matt is still searching for his amp that he bought off ebay that some dickhead never sent. jason's truck is for sale, and when someone buys it, he gets new equipment as well. hooray. we are recording the first week of may. we've written new songs. i ordered stickers that should be here next week. hooray. there is some talk circulating about the tour. we might be making some changes as far as that goes. we might be joining another band who i won't mention unless it actually happens because then i'd look like a dummy. its not guaranteed. but i hope it does work because it'd be awesome. as soon as we finish the recording, we are going to burn probably somewhere around 100 cd's and we are going to photocopy a nice little book and basically rip off the XchokeholdX cd. i'll let everyone know as soon as those are done. we'll be making shirts soon. we are looking for a van to buy. we are playing shows in june with our pals from wisconsin forstella ford on their tour with paris@2am. they are touring the country so go check them out and by their shit. they are fucking great. perhaps things are starting to turn around. ahh.

02april2000: to start things off, i got my license back after paying $500.00. we played a show in sarasota at the atari info shop with dieldrin and the dark a.d. and it was really fun. joe moved to new york and is no longer in the magnacarta. bye joe. i'm putting a bunch of pictures up, if i can get my stupid scanner to work. i need a new computer real bad. we have some new shows coming up. we're still working hard at not getting anything done. and danni finally grew pubes.

18march2000: well, things have been weird for me. thursday i got arrested for driving with a suspended license. but my mom got me out of it kinda, and i'm alright, i just don't think i'll be able to drive for a long time. oh well. so friday i left for my brother's house in atlanta, and saturday we drove for hours to the pennsylvania/maryland area. we have a hobby of taking pictures of trains. laugh all you want, i think its fucking great and relaxing. so i shot about 5 rolls of film, spent lots of money that i shouldn't have been spending, but oh well. so we haven't played together since the radio show, we have no new songs, and we are playing a show in a week. hot damn we're fucking incredible.

06march2000: i updated some stuff here on the site, added new links, added a couple pictures of some of the studs, and some other shit. i'm personally kinda going crazy because i'm leaving friday for about a week, i have to go to pennsylvania, and it sucks because i want to write some new songs before we play our next few shows. we also got offered to play a show at happy daze with the famous 'riverside' kids and a band called britemoor [sorry if i mispelled it.] the show is going to be in the middle of april sometime. i really want a new drumset but i don't think i can get one because i owe almost $400 to the state of florida for traffic violations. my license was suspended effective today. hooray for me! as far as the recording thing goes, its been put off again, because my pals that were gonna do it for us can't do it for another couple months or so, and frankly we need to crank something out before then. so we are going to try and look elsewhere. jason has some homeboys in melbourne that we might try to work with. who knows. if anyone who reads this knows how to get in touch with 12 hour turn, let me know because they are really fucking good.

02march2000: we played the rollins radio show last night. we did really good surprisingly, especially for going in there thinking we were playing two songs. we ended up playing 5, two of which we taught to jason write there. we played a bikini kill cover song, 'starfish' and after the dj played 'die, die my darling' we had to play 'bullet' by the misfits. i just want to thank jesse from WPRK for hooking the show up and everything. we have a tape of it, and it is really our only recording, so if anyone really wants it let me know and i can most likely hook it up [beware this is not a good quality recording.] we're gonna start writing all new material soon enough. busy like bumblebees.

24february2000: well yesterday we did an interview on Rollins College's radio station, WPRK, and next wednesday, 01march, we are playing live on the radio [91.5fm for anyone in the area]. it should be awesome. if anyone could tape it and give us a copy it'd be greatly appreciated. we've made some progress for the tour, we're working on booking shows, trying to at least, it's just so far in advance. we're still getting new equipment or trying to at least. we have a couple shows coming up, one at DIY records and the other at atari info shop in sarasota. the one at DIY is tomorrow and the one in sarasota is saturday, 25march. we will be recording sometime very soon, my friends matt and owen are going to be doing that for us. thanks :) i'll let you know when demo's are going to be ready. as far as everything else goes...we'll just have to wait and see i suppose. but bob marley once told me that every little thing was going to be alright.

22january2000: well here's the deal. we're waiting on some equipment to arrive and all that before we can do any shows. as you might know, we had some stuff get destroyed when it fell out of a truck. anyways, the reason for this 'update'. hmm. we are talking/kinda planning a tour this summer. in july, we are going to go to new jersey and meet up with the assistant and play some shows up north with them. we'd like to get some shows along the way as well. see the shows page to see some crap.. we are also playing some shows in the next couple months all around florida. we are going to try to record a demo kinda thing in the next month or so. i'll try and keep you posted as much as possible. we're gonna get a bunch of stuff made soon [i.e shirts, stickers, crap like that] because we need to try and save some money to do all these things, so i'll keep you posted with that as well. thanks to everyone. sorry for the huge update. once i pop, i don't stop. -jeff.

16january2000: the first real update i guess. hmm. there have been a few changes if none of you have noticed or heard. wil is no longer in the band. the whole band had been having some conflicts and when we talked, wil informed us that he was quitting and he had been planning on doing so for some time. so taking his place is our good friend jason 'skaebo' saldutti. we know he will do a great job and be a great addition to the magnacarta. also, we have added another vocalist. his name is joey endeavor. he played the last show we did and it was so much fun that we asked him to join. so we're going to be on a small hiatus, so we can write some new stuff, and relearn the old stuff. check back sometime for more news. i also added some photos, but apparantly they aren't working too good. i'll fix that. i can fix anything.  -jeff.
