Korn -- Family Values Tour

I got to go to a concert! My friend Ron bought me 2 tickets to go to the "Family Values" tour! My best friend in the whole wide world, Kryst, went with me.

The groups went on stage as follows: Orgy (who I'd never heard of before, but kicked ass!!), a band who's name is excaping me cuz it's almost 2am (but that singer was FINE!! Can we say, "I'd do that for a dollar"?), Limp Bizkit, Rammstein, and Korn.

Like I said, Orgy was awsome! My fave song was called "Blue Monday." I will be on a quest for this CD very soon. (I got it, and it IS very good!)

The second band (I'm a forgetful dork! Incabus? Does that sound right?) was really good too! And that singer, wow! He had long hair and broad shoulders and a muscular chest and a thin waist. Can he be sexier? MMMRRROOAAWWWRRRRR!!!!! Oh, the music was good too!

Limp Bizkit put on a great show! I didn't like the attitude of the lead singer,(could you say "fuck" one more time? Can tell us to fuck off one more time?) but the show was good. I thought he was gonna go nuts! He was climbing around the arena floor. Ummm....dude, there's a lot of moshers out there who would love to touch you, rip your clothes off, have a handful of your hair, etc.

In the middle of Limp Bizkit, they all went off stage and some other people came up out of the space ship. (Did I mention there was a space ship on stage?) They all came out w/super soaker like water guns and started posing, then break dancing. And these guys were GOOD!!! WOW! I'm still blown away! It was quite a Beastie Boys "Intergalactic" moment. (If you've seen that vid, you know what I mean)

Limp Bizkit had the funniest part of the hole evening: they did their own version of George Michael's "Faith." You remember: "I guess it would be nice if I could touch your body. I know not everybody has got a body like you. But I gotta think twice before I give my heart away and I know all the games you play because I play them too" etc... Serious comedy for a hard core band to do "faith!" (I found out later that they have that song on their CD. Hey, I didn't know...)

Rammstein was very hot. As in firey! Lead singer man (LSM) comes out w/a long jacket where the back and arms are on FIRE! It was quite an interesting show, to say the least! As I said, very firey. There were firey shoes, firey mic stands, smoking boots (the coolest!), a (yes) flame thrower!, and a bow-lookin' thing that shot sparks as he spun the thing in a circle! LSM also came out on stage one time w/ a cat-o-nine-tails (a whip) in his hand and he kept whipping himself!! (Ooohh!) Also at one point, wait. I'm getting ahead of myself... I noticed earlier that it looked like he must've had on a serious, extra strenth cup on. He just looked too bulgy in that special area. Well, there was a reason. I thought it was a special cup or something in case one of the fire things went wrong. No. It was cuz he had what I refer to as "his water penis" in there! He had a penis looking thing that squirted water! And when I say "squirted" I mean sent that water shooting out like a super soaker!! It was quite the funny!

Korn I was actually least impressed by. (Please don't kill me!) Of course, I loved when they did "Got the Life." (After the show was over and we were walking back to the car in the RAIN, I kept wanting to go up to people and say, "hey, do you got the life?" I like stupid things like that. I controlled myself though.) They did nursery rhymes. It was funny.

Korn's stage had a double stacked cage behind them with "korn contest winners," for all but the first 1 or 2 songs. Gee, mostly all pretty, scantily clad ladies. Imagine that...

For those who know how attractive the lead singer of Korn is (such as Ty), he was wearing a black, sleaveless shirt and black baggy pants w/a red stripe down the sides and black shoes. He was tasty! (I paid close attn so I could report back to you.)

At the end of Korn's set, the stage turned and suddenly Korn and Limp Bizkit were performing together! Two drum kits and everything! And the cool break dancers were there too! It was pretty neat. They did a song about "You hate me but it's in the family" or something like that. I was seeing the "family values" link. And someone on stage had a vid camera out for that part, not that if the concert ends up in a video you'd see me anywhere. I mean, it was general seating and Kryst and I both had to work, so we didn't get there till about a half hour before the show started and we still had to get our tickets from the will-call window and find a seat. But we really didn't have bad seats at all! We were really lucky that way.

And one word of advise, if you want to stay alive, stay out of the mosh pits. It got pretty intense down there...

Vik, whose ears are still ringing and throat is still aching and it's now 2:30 am. Need sleep. ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz...........
