Other people buy cars as a means of transport, tailored to their particular needs. They decide which configuration will best suit their needs and preferences; they compare brochures, features, fuel consumption and performance statistics, and perhaps things like finance deals and warranties. But not people like me. Oh no. If it's interesting (by my criteria), older than me, and preferably comfortable for someone with long legs, that's enough. I seem unable to grasp the concept of a car as means of transport; boring things like value, depreciation, repair costs and whether or not it actually moves around and stops are foreign concepts to me. Old cars just seem to follow me around.
