6-22-01

It's been a while since this page has been updated, but I just added a tab for Pylon's, "Stop It". You can find it in the tabs seection. Other than that, the Toadies are still on tour, make sure and check out their homepage from time to time and pollstar for the newest tour dates.

3-30-01

I put up some pictures from the 3/20-3/21 and Good Records shows.

3-25-01

For you guitarists, I've been adding bits and pieces to the tabs I have. Recently I added to Little Sin and Dollskin. Also, I'll be adding some pictures soon from the 3/20, 3/21 shows at Trees. Plus, I added a new poll for the new album. Don't forget, if you have a picture, send it to me so I can put it on my page along with the other fans.

3-11-01

In case you haven't noticed, the Toadies are starting to book more and more shows. There are too many to post here and they keep adding new shows so be sure and check Pollstar for the latest shows.

3-01-01

I've been adding more people to the BBS section, if you have a picure, let me know and I'll slap it up there. Also, I've added a few more pictures from some Toadies show.

2-15-01

Dave Nailing tabbed out Pressed Against the Sky and did a great job, so that's now fixed.

2-11-01

I started working on the tabs to Little Sin and Pressed Against the Sky, any help would be appreciated. I also tweeked Motivational every so slightly.

2-8-01

The Toadies will be making a really big tour soon, but before then, they are hitting a few Texas towns. I don't have any ticket info, but try going to the site to find out more. Here are the dates at least: 2/9 - Odessa, Texas Dos Amigos 2/10 - Lubbock, Texas Liquid 2000 2/15 - Pharr, Texas Tejano Saloon 2/17 - Beaumont, Texas Palladium

2-1-01

Well, the album has been pushed back two weeks to March 20th, but it looks like that it's final this time for sure...maybe, probably, there's a pretty good chance of it.

1-20-01

I finally went back and fixed the lyrics to the new songs, they should be about 99% accurate. If you see something I've missed, let me know...(thanks Paul)

1-19-01

Well, it looks like the single won't be released in January afterall...let's hope February is more promising.

12-28-00

Sometime in January, the band will release their first single from their upcoming album, Motivational.

12-21-00

Ok, slight change in plans...slight. The album has been pushed back to March 6, we're pretty sure about that right now. That seems really solid...seriously. The guys went to L.A. yesterday to do a photo shoot and talk to some Interscope people, so that right there HAS to be good.

12-03-00

There will be a show in Nacogdoches on 12/8 and two in Ft. Worth at the Riglea Theater on 12/29 and 12/30. I'm redoing some wavs and putting them into MP3 format. If anyone has a sound clip and you want it put up, email me and I'll take care of it. Also, I put up a tab for "Push the Hand", thanks to Dave on that one.

11-18-00

Added some new pictures from the Houston Monster Mosh on 10/28. Thanks to Aimee for taking them :)

11-2-00

Word from Clark and the guys is that the new album "Hell Below/Stars Above" will be released on FEBRURARY 13, 2001. Hopefully we'll get to hear a single from the album around mid-December. Ok, you may rejoice now.

9-26-00

At the last show at Trees(9/23), Todd said Februrary is when the album will be released, so at least that's better than "Spring". Also, I just put up some pictures from that show.

8-22-00

Ok, find something or somebody to punch really hard. Before you let out your aggrivation, though, let me say it is NOT the Toadies fault. The band has no control over this. Now, here's the thing. Due to Interscope promoting Limp Bizkit(now there's some talent)and other lame bands, the Toadies "Hell Below/Stars Above" album won't be released this year. Look for it sometime in the Spring of 2001. No, there's no official release date, just "Spring". Let's hope it doesn't get pushed back even more.

8-9-00

Heel is now an offical song in the rotation up in Dallas at the Edge (94.5) after blowing away the last band (whoever they were) by a vote of 56 to 0. And in Austin at the X (101), the Toadies sealed a rotation spot after killing some other lame band. Now, we just need to work on other stations in Texas as well as out of Texas. Clark is going to email Interscope a list of the stations that have played the song to show that people actually care about the band.

8-7-00

I don't care, this is news enough for me, so I'm posting it. For the third night in a row, the Toadies have won the "Like it or Spike It" contest at 101X in Austin. Tonight they beat Kid Rock. What's funny is the record doesn't even have a release date or a single and the fans are getting "Heel" out and it's kicking butt everywhere. Gotta love that.

8-3-00

Well, word from everybody's pal, Jasun, is that Heel was played in both Austin and Dallas tonight. In Dallas, Heel was played against "some gay song on their 9pm cockfight" and the Toadies won. In Austin, they beat a truly gay song by eminem. Don't ask me which eminem song because I don't know and it really doesn't matter(no offense to gay people, in this context it just means 'really stupid', I personally think homosexuals are very nice people).

8-2-00

I just added a link for the new Toadies song, "Heel", on the front page and there is a link now to download two Studio Films when the guys were in California recording the new album.

7-28-00

This is somewhat Toadie-related. I'm putting up a new section for pictures of members of the Toadies Bulletin Board. Anybody interested, send me a picture.

7-18-00

Well, we know things are starting to look up because Interscope put out "Heel" on a sampler CD during the Warped Tour. I happened to get my grubby paws on it and it sounds great. If the rest of the songs come out this good(and they will), this new album is going to kick your butt.

6-27-00

You'll know soon enough, but the new album will have the following tracks: Plane Crash, Push The Hand, Little Sin, You'll Come Down, Motivational, Everything We Have We Steal, Sweetness, Heel, Pressed Against the Sky, Hell Below/Stars Above, Jiggsaw Girl, Dollskin. Two other songs that were recorded, but didn't make the cut are Joey Let's Go and Waterfall. Maybe they will end up on a soundtrack.

6-13-00

Well, the latest from everybody's favorite, hardworking drummer, Mark, is that we now have a new album title. It will be called "Hell Below/Stars Above". That is the name of a relatively new song the Toadies wrote while in the studio and it will be one of the longer songs they have on the new album. There is still no set release date, but the group still looks toward August/September as a tenative time frame.

5-22-00

The Toadies played at the CPR Fest in Mississippi, it was a short set, but they played some of the new stuff and for those of you who have ever heard "Best of Three", it has a few changes to it. So, being so close to a release date, I can only assume that the revamped version of "Best of Three" (although, no longer going by that name, whatever it may be), might be on the album. But, who knows. Oh and did I mention the album is mixed and ready to go?

5-08-00

Well, the album is NOW MIXED. It has to be mastered and the tracks have to be lined out, but for the most part, it is finished. Of course, a title, cover art, release date have yet to be taken care of, but let's rejoice because it's coming soon.

4-10-00

The final steps are being taken, and Todd is going to NY on the 16th of April to get the New Album mixed. Yep, that's about all I know as of right now.

3-22-00

Well, the album is finally recorded and the guys are back home. Todd said he would be going to NY in a few weeks to mix it. At the last minute, they went ahead and recorded "Happy Voodoo" and renamed it to "Jigsaw Girl", with some changed lyrics. "Best of Three" was also recorded, but Todd has yet to add (new) lyrics/vocals to it. Bottom line is, the album is done, and the only thing that might be holding them back is red tape from the record label.

2-23-00

News from Mark Rez...said the following songs have been tracked, overdubbed and basically ready for business: Plane Crash, Push the Hand, You'll Come Down, Joey Let's Go, Sweetness, Hell Below/Stars Above(with Elliot Smith on piano), Little Sin, Heel. Now the next songs have been tracked, but still need work: Motivational, Dollskin, Dead Boy Boogie, Pressed Against the Sky, Tornado(woo!) and Waterfall. Not all these songs will make the album.

1-17-00

Monday, the 17th. The Toadies are in the studio right now. They ARE RECORDING. Pre-production is over and now comes the good stuff.

12-29-99

Ok, I'm not kidding this time, they really are going to L.A. on Jan 3rd and start recording. That much I know, as to when it will come out, that's anybody's guess, but don't worry, it will be worth the wait...trust me on this.

9-17-99

When is the album coming out? I know you're asking yourself that and so are the Toadies, so don't feel like you're the only one. Well, last I heard the guys were going to L.A. to record some more in November with a tenative album release around in March. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

9-15-99

For those of you who don't know...and that's a lot of you, the Toadies played in Las Vegas over the weekend for some kind of Lance Armstrong benefit or party or something to that affect. You know him, he won the Tour de France. From what I've heard, they had a smashing good time. I hope they got to see those two gay magicians and their pet tiger.

9-13

Looks like it's official. That radio-hosted show up in Dallas that the Toadies were supposed to play with a handful of other (lesser) bands is cancelled. It was supposed to have been on the 5th of September, then moved to the 12th, and now...well, the last I heard is that it's cancelled for good. That's ok, to get the same effect, just turn on the radio and listen to some cheesy rock and then slap in Rubberneck or your latest bootleg.

9-11-99

Well, the Auditorium Shores Park show was short, but sweet. I got there in time to see the last part of Oleander's show. Unfortunately, that meant Pushmonkey and Great White were going to play...and take up more time than they should have. Usually when bands set up, it's the crew that does the checking of equipment and not the actual band. Well, the Toadies were so pressed for time, even they were out there scurring around trying to get set up. Anyway, to the news part. They started off with Sweetness and it was a newer, trimmed down version with a shorter intro. Later on, they played Plane Crash and as new as it is, it's already got a little change in it. Speaking of changes, they played a brand spankin' new song. It was so new, they didn't even have a name for it and just finished it the day before the show. Naturally, it being a Toadies song, it was extremely awesome. Among the new songs, they also played Heel and You'll Come Down.
