Abominable Dr. Phibes

Vincent Price takes charge again in one of his most memorable roles as Dr. Anton Phibes. Dr. Phibes is a horribly difigured musical genius and bible scholar, the disfigurement the result of a car crash. His wife was killed by a team of surgeons who Dr. Phibes felt let her die. He then avenges the death of his wife by inflicting Old Testament curses on the doctors responsible.

As for the song, it was originally titled "Dr. Phibes Rises Again" (the name of the 1972 sequel) and orginally recorded by Kryst The Conquerer for there unreleased full-length LP. Jerry and Doyle decided to record an insturmental version for the intro to the American Psycho LP.

Stunning identical siblings, one good and the other dicidedly evil, are the main charecters in this unusual gothic horror film. One of the young women is a vampire, and the other is the "nice girl next door".When the townspeople decicide to burn the vampire at the stake, they make a tragic error.

In what is considered the first true splatter movie, Herschell Gordon Lewis delievers what had never been seen before in modern cinema, all out gore. The story centers on an Miami caterer who wishes to bring an Egyptian love goddess back to life, to do so he has to prepare a Blood Feast in her honor. Using the corpses as food stock he cuts up legs, arms and tounges and serves the leftovers to unsuspecting patrons at various social funtions.

Although Glenn originally wanted to record this song with Samhain, he decided to record it with the Misfits in July of 1983.

Humans at research labatory in the Swiss Alps are terrorized by alien monsters shrouded in puffs of fog. On the serene peaks of Switzerland's Trollenberg mountains, a creeping menace from outer space has arrived. The alien prescance decapitates some of its victims and transforms others into zombie murderers. A local person with ESP appears to be the only person who can stop the invader-until the alien is after her.

The song was originally called "IT!" but was renamed "The Crawling Eye" shortly before the Famous Monsters LP was released. Jerry Only once said that The Crawling Eye is his favorite movie.
