"Saturday Live" was a failed attempt to create a British version of 'Saturday Night Live', in which
Lee Hurst was desperately unfunny in between unknow people being desperately unfunny. The Manics
appeared to hawk the latest single, and pulled off a spirited turn on EMG, before ending with
Nicky Wire, in a moment reminiscent of the glory days, yelling "WATCH THE BBC!" into the microphone to a chorus of feedback. Spine-tingling!
