What can I say...the name says it all!
If you haven't heard of him yet then you have been living your life in darkness but don't worry...you will get to know who he is and why he has so many followers in life.

In my opinion, he is one of the kings in Australian comedy and is in a class of his own. He is only just receiving recognition for what he does....and does well might I add. This is probably because of the switch of the show he hosts "Good News Week" from an independent and free-voiced TV station to an over-rated commercialised TV station which limit themselves but get more publicity. People who are not familar with Paul McDermott are now seeing what he is capable of although there are restrictions with working for Channel 10 such as not being able to attack or criticise certain people and companies (I haven't heard anyone on GNW take the piss out of Kerry Packer yet). If he wanted, Paul could have it all.

Before starting Good News Week in 1996, Paul lived a dangerous life with the Doug Anthony Allstars with Richard Fidler and Tim Fergurson. The DAAS were on a road filled with fame and fortune but something happened between Paul and Tim which caused the comedy trio to split. It was something so big that even to this day, Paul hasn't forgiven Tim and neither speak to each other, although Rich gets along with both of them. I am not a huge fan of the DAAS, unlike some of my friends who are full-on fans of their work. I do like them but I'm more of a GNW and I have always been since they first started. Well hope you enjoy Good News Week (Monday 8:30pm) and Good News Week Nite Light (Thursday 8:30pm)!!!
