This page of Cool Links contains several links which have been carefully selected by me. If you are my friend and you know any cool links please give me the URL. The criteria used for selecting Cool Links is very complicated, but basically if I happen to find (or visit regularly) a that site is interesting and/or funny to an extraordinary degree I'll list it here if I feel like it. Now grab yourself a tall glass of soda and a snack because it may take you a while to go through all these.
Links to cool running sites:
- Rowan University Profs - This is the unofficial site of the Rowan University Cross Country team (the schoo I run for) as well as the track team. It is updated regularly. You can find the latest news about the team and look at race photo's and other cool stuff.
^
- XCResults - This page contains results to a lot of Philadelphia area XC races (mostly college). I'm in the results of several races on this site.
^
- Apple Raceberry JaM - This site is a great resource for big NCAA DI DII and DIII races. It also contains polls and results.
^
- LetsRun.com - LetsRun.com is the best sight for running on the internet. It's got news, and a world famous forum, you don't even need to register! This is an essential site for anyone who considers themself to be a serious runner.
^
- Philadelphia Track Club - This site is everything you ever wanted to know about the Philadelphia Track Club. There a great group of guys. They don't know who I am, but after I graduate college I'm gonna try to join up with them. I've met a couple of guys on the team at various places, so at leas a couple of guys on the team might recognize me.
^
- XDOS - Some high school XC runners created this really funny site. Check it out.
^
- Runnova.com - This is the official unofficial site of the Villanova XC and track distance squad. It's a pretty cool site.

^
- DaddyLikesXC - http://www.oocities.org/daddylikesxc/index
^
- UW Track - http://home.comcast.net/~uwtrack/site_index.htm
^
- ASU - http://www.public.asu.edu/~mpeditto/asuxc/
^
- ExtemeTech.com -I couldn't decide whether to put this one in cool links or essentails. I put it here because it is awesomness. It tells you about current stuff going on with mostly main stream computing. It tells you how to build and tweak anything from a budge machine to a high performance beast.
^
- Cardomain.com -Cardomain has all kinds of cars on it. A lot of rice, a few cool cars. Some people are pretty rediculous. You'll see people that put up their "new" car that has 315,000 miles and they list all of their "modicifications" and a list of future "modifications." It makes perfect sense to take a car with 315K miles and put a turbocharger on it along with a five thousand dollar system. This sight can seriously be pretty funny.
^
- Scott Anderson's Online Journal Entry -This link is to Scott Anderson's online running journal from back in the day about his race at the Botson Indoor back when Alan Webb broke the 4 minute barrier. If you're a runner you'll like to read this one..
^
- MTV.COM -This link will take you straight to the charts. This page is cool because you can see what songs are popular and you can also watch the videos if you have RealOnePlayer.
^
- Albinoblacksheep.com -This page is here because it is funny as hell. My favorite animations on this page are: Mario, weeeee, and starwarz. Click on these links with caution, because if these animations were movies, I think they would probably be rated R.
^
- www.stickdeath.com -This web site is very funny, violent, and offensive. Click on this link with caution because, if it were rated like a movie, I think it would probably be rated R.
^
- www.wd40.com -WD40 has thousands of uses, it has so many uses that my webpage would be useless if it didn't include a link to the home of this great product.
^
- www.threebrain.com -This website is where the weeeee squirel originated. There is enough funny stuff at this place to keep a person with ADHD glued to the screen for hours.
^
- howstuffworks.com -This website may not be very funny, but it cracks me up. Not everything in life may make sense, but this website brings more sense to life. For example think of an automatic transmission. You might be thinking of some metal case you saw under your car after changing the oil or something. After going to this website, you'll think of complicated things such as an automatic transmission and realize that they're really more complicated than you ever imagined.
Essential Internet Links:
- Adobe.com -This is where you get the Adobe Acrobat Reader, essential for viewing .pdf documents. I just downloaded the basic stuff then updated so I can view .pdf docs.
^
- Real.com -This is where you get the real player. I just downloaded the basic stuff so I can watch streaming video that requires Real Player.
^
- Quicktime -This is where you get the Quicktime player, essential for viewing certain multimedia files. This is Mac based.
^
- Microsoft.com -If you use Windows and other MS programs this sight is essential for updating everything, including Windows Media Player. If you have a decent system, updated WMP, Quicktime and Real PLayer you should be able to view mostly all types of streaming multi-media. It is always a good idea to update windows and get the latest version of DirectX. Here is a quick link to DirectX.
^
- Macromedia.com -This is were you get the Flash player and Shockwave player. You'll need updated versions of these programs so you can be sure you can have a good time viewing files on sites like www.threebrain.com and www.stickdeath.com
^
- Yahoo.com -For me, the internet begins here.
^
- Google.com -Sometimes it also starts here.
^
- Geocities.com -If you wanna be cool like me and have your own website this is not a bad place to start.
^
- w3.org -This is the website of the World Wide Web Consortium. If you want to make a webpage by manualy entering HTML and CSS it would probably be a wise decision to follow their standards. No my webpage is not W3C compliant because of code generated by the hosting server but all the code I manually encoded is both compliant HTML and CSS.
