Self Conviction, nowadays, is the most important band from our scene . They are a Vegan Straight Edge formed in 95 from the ashes of Positive Minds (First brazilian straight edge band) and with ex- members from Personal Choice and Clear Heads and today with members who also play at Point of No Return, Landscape and Reborn. They sound heavy with a rap feel and with lyrics concerning mostly Veganism/Animal Liberation issues. They have a CD out on 215 Records, one song in a german compilation "Mother Earth" from impression recordings and will soon release 4 songs in "Voices" a São Paulo hardcore compilation with more 3 bands from Liberation Records/ Zine. This year they toured with Madball on their first brazilian tour.
