Trivia Question no 83
What is the connection between The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, David Essex, Nils Lofgren, The Tubes and Lynyrd Skynyrd? Answer Al Kooper.
Kooper has played or produced (and sometimes both) on tracks by all of these acts and dozens more besides helping to form the Blues Project and Blood, Sweat & Tears and having a solo career which has spanned 30 years.
Search the net and you will find pages on all of the above acts but Kooper is ill served. Apart from his own homepage there is scant information about his solo career. Unfortunately Koopers home page is not as comprehensive as it could be (it also doesn't get updated often).BUT SEE BELOW!
So this page is designed to reflect my personal view of Koopers musical life. This view is geared almost entirely around his solo albums as that is the extent of my knowledge - albums that I have been enjoying for some 30 years now.

This site is BADLY in need of re-construction - this will take a little time but I'm working on it. Kooper's website is now regularly updated and lists upcoming personal appearances as well as other current information. I urge you to go there AFTER you've explored this site. Kooper's page has little or no information on his older solo albums.
And buy, beg, borrow or steal his new book "Backstage Passes and Backstabbing Bastards" - You will enjoy it!
Site still under construction - please come back soon. Meanwhile email comments, critiscisms, Kooper stories etc to mikeyho@mcmail.com please.

All images, lyrics, recorded sounds etc copyright of their owners.
Any valid complaints regarding their use on this site, please advise and they will be withdrawn.
