Wolfheart is a finnish individual which is very active in the scene. He plays in several bands (one of them being WITH HATE I BURN...) and has a `zine. "Only Mountains Watch the Memories..." is a demo which in my opinion contains some interesting black metal music which is spoiled from the very bad sound quality. Here is Wolfheart`s opinion:

"I formed WITH HATE I BURN... to create something different than my main band CALM. I also wanted to express my views and beliefs through music, which really isn't the case with CALM (my main band). I don't know if there will ever be another WITH HATE I BURN... tape, as I have now joined ranks with NARGOVENTOR and the material we are now writing continues futher on the path that I have started with WITH HATE I BURN..."

HERE IS THE INTERVIEW I GOT FROM WOLFHEART, THE MAN BEHIND WITH HATE I BURN... (INTERVIEW TAKEN AT 8 / 14 / 97)

1) HAIL TO THOU! HOW`S LIFE IN FINLAND? DOES IT SNOW RIGHT NOW?
Hail Evil Dark! Well, life is as always boring, studying etc. No, it doesn't snow now!

2) DOES THE FINNISH NATURE, CULTURE ETC. INSPIRE YOU IN MUSIC COMPOSING? WHERE DO THE LYRICS OF WITH HATE I BURN... REFER TO?
Yes, I am highly inspired by the finnish nature, the woods and the lakes. I am also inspired by Tolkien, satanism, occultism, gothic poems and they all shine through the lyrics and music that I write.

3) ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH WHAT YOU`VE DONE TILL NOW? ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH THE DEMO "ONLY MOUNTAINS WATCH THE MEMORIES..."?
No, I am not satisfied with anything I have yet recorded, including the "Only Mountains Watch The Memories" tape... But I think that "Only Mountains Watch The Memories" gives somekinda impression of what's to come with my future releases (they will of course feature real drums and better sounds!)!

4) WHY DIDN`T YOU USE A REAL STUDIO? I THINK THAT YOUR MUSIC IS OK BUT THE SOUND AND THE DRUM MACHINE ARE BELOW MEDIOCRE!!! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO IN THE FUTURE ABOUT THAT?
Music is just "OK" ? The music is great! Yeah, I agree you with the drum machine thing, it's quite bad... Fortunately in the future I will get to use real drums in all my projects! And I think that alone will make the sound a lot better! The reason why I didn't use a real studio was that it would have been very expensive, as I would have had to pay all the dues myself, as I was alone in this band... I don't know about the future... It might be that there won't be another WITH HATE I BURN... tape, as I have joined ranks with Nargoventor and the music will continue further on on the path that I have choosen with WITH HATE I BURN...

5) TELL US MORE ABOUT AAAALL YOUR OTHER PROJECTS.
Pheeww... OK, here we go but just briefly!
CALM: This is my main band... We play somekind of melodic doom / death or something like that...We have a brilliant operatic female vocalist who has performed in many conserts and theatre plays. We will release our first demo by the end of this year.

WITH HATE I BURN...: This is my solo project which I formed to dress my dark beliefs into musical form...
NARGOVENTOR: This is a band formed by Sargentor (from EMERALD) and Vorskaath (from Dark Ceremony). I joined just few months ago... We play fast black metal with full - finnish written lyrics. We will record our first demo in October or so... IT WILL KILL!!!
SHALLOW SEASONS `zine: This is our (my & M. Virkki's) `zine... We will release our second issue in November or December. It will include interviews from (at least!):
THEATRE OF TRAGEDY, DARK TRANQUILLITY, MARTYRUM, MACABRE OMEN, THY SERPENT, EVEMASTER, SERPENT, WARLOGHE, BETHEL, GLOOMY GRIM, EMERALD, FALL OF THE LEAFE & many other interesting bands & reviews.

6) HOW`S THE SCENE IN FINLAND? GIVE YOUR 5 BEST BANDS TILL NOW...
The scene is getting better all the time! Some bands I would like to recommend are:
BETHEL, GLOOMY GRIM, UTGARD, FAERGHAIL, SHADOWS OF SUNSET, KYPRIAN'S CIRCLE, WARLOGHE, EVEMASTER, EVENFALL (Hail Teemu!!), WINDFALL etc. etc.... Five best bands in Finland are in my opinion:
GLOOMY GRIM, DARKWOODS MY BETROTHED, THROES OF DAWN, AMORPHIS and THY SERPENT (in my opinion it`s IMPALED NAZARENE, THY SERPENT, AMORPHIS, SILENTIUM and ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW! - ed.).

7) WHICH BANDS ARE YOU INFLUENCED FROM?
Well, I must say that I am influenced by all that I hear... I am mainly listening to bands like:
EMPEROR, SATYRICON, IN THE WOODS..., BORKNAGAR, MISANTHROPE, ENSLAVED etc, etc...

8) WHAT`S YOUR OPINION ABOUT CORPSE PAINT, `90s BLACK METAL AND ANCIENT HELLAS?
I think that warpaint (or corpse paint, if thou prefer!) fits well into the athmosphere of black metal. But nowadays it (and black metal generally) has become more like a joke! I must say that I am not so familiar with the mythology of Hellas but I find it very interesting.

9) WELL, IT`S NOT ONLY THE MYTHOLOGY! IT`S ALSO THE CULTURE, THE WAY OF LIVING, PHILOSOPHY ETC ETC!!! ANYWAY... DO YOU LIKE THE HELLENIC SCENE?
I must say that the hellenic bands have their own unique sound... Too bad I don't like it at all (uh? - ed.)! Well, NIGHTFALL is okay though!

10) SAY WHATEVER THOU WISH TO END THIS INTERVIEW...
