The day I saw you stand at the alter
waiting for me to meet you,
I knew that we would never be apart.
As we stood before God, our friends & loved ones,
making the promise of marriage to each other,
I knew you held my heart.
And the day you held my hand
as I laid on an operating table,
scared & sick while having your child,
I knew what unconditional love meant.
And when you got on your knees
and asked Jesus into your life,
got baptized and held your baby as we gave him to God,
I knew that from God you were sent.
And when I'm griping about the laundry
or how you've cut your beard too much...
How you wear the wrong clothes
and you always forget your keys and such...
Always remember in the back of your mind,
that God united us, love was not blind,
We've been given a chance at a wonderful life
And I thank God everyday for allowing me
to be your wife!
