Okay, here's the way this thing works: Just like every other news page in the world, the newest news is at the top, the older crap at the bottom. As if you couldn't figure that out by common logic. However, a unique thing about this news page is that even though news occurs, we NEVER EVER update this page.
April 29, 2000- After a discussion, we as a band have decided not to be a band anymore. Derrick and Mike want to play different types of music rather than punk. Pat and Thad are already working on a new band, and Derrick may be in a new band eventually. Everyone is still friends, the split was purely out of musical differences. Mainstream Trash would like to thank absolutely everyone who ever helped us out, especially the bands we played shows with and whoever came to shows. It's been a little more than a year of fun and new friends and what not. Sorry it couldn't have been longer.
March 31st, 2000-We as a band decided that in terms of music and progression, we will be better off with a drummer other than Matt. It's been about a year and two weeks since we all started this band in Matt's basement, and many fun times were spent practicing and everything else. However, eventually people have their differences and contrasting desires. Certain people have problems with other people's constant habits and whatever else. Either way, the decision was not due to creative differences or anything, they were more due to personal problems. It was not a heated argument, but more of a logical discussion, and we are all still friends. As soon as Matt gets another project started, we will let everyone know. He'll be missed. Thanks.
June 27, 99- The Site is updated once more, with a NEW merch page and more pics, not to mention new bios.
Late May, 99- Dan, our trumpet player quits the band, due to work. The band misses Danno.
April 21, 99- Mainstream Trash plays Beef Social 1 with another band, The Shampoo Sharks. A beef social is a concert/bbq concocted by the minds of us. It may sound a bit hoosier at first, but it was alot of fun.
Around mid-March, 99- Mainstream Trash is born.
