city: Los Angeles venue: Baked Potato date: 23/Sept/2000 soundquality: audience 10/10 running time: 2h 43min (3 CDs) featuring: Steve Lukather, David Garfield, John Pena, Abe Laboriel jr.(drums),Lenny Castro(perc.), Everett Harp(sax.) comments: Great audience recording from the famous Baked Potato in L.A. with lots of groovy "Candy Dulfer meets Maceo Parker"-stuff. I had to do some remastering due to scratched cd-surfaces but the parts missing don´t make more than 5 minutes and you won´t realize where I put my hands in! HAHAHA! "TUTU" is a great Miles Davis song and "Get your dick out off my ass before I start diggin´ it" (that´s what Luke called this song! HAHAHA!) will make your ass moving maaaaaan - Abe Laboriel jr., what a GROOVEMAN !!! "Smell Yourself" and "Brush with the Blues" were performed very jazzy (never heard these songs like this before!). In a word - "Excellent performance of extraordinary musicians!" |
