Bill Medley 1965

Bill, Sacramento (venue unknown) March 1965

The Righteous Brothers are one of three recording acts who took "Unchained Melody" to Number One on the U.K. charts.  The other two acts are Jimmy Young (1955) and Robson and Jerome (1995).  The Brothers' version (the 1965 version) went to the top in 1990.

Bill once recorded a Diane Warren song for an album.  That song, "Don't You Love Me Anymore", was included on his "Blue-Eyed Singer" album.   Diane co-wrote the song with Albert Hammond, best known for his 1972 hit, "It Never Rains in Southern California".

Initially Kim Carnes was considered as a duet partner for Bill on the song, "(I've Had) The Time of My Life".  However, Kim's vocal similarity to Bill's nixed the idea.
