There is no life on Earth without atmosphere, but this atmosphere is dying faster and faster. But we all are able to contribute to rescuing it.

In a wake-up letter to the POP/Rocky-readers, Alphaville in their fight for our environment bet on phantasy and wealth of ideas of the young people. They haven't believed in all-too-obvious recipes and easy solution of the problem for a long time already:

Helplessness, violence and permissiveness! "You presidents....."

Birds are twittering, the wind is running its hand over swinging branches. A "Marsch-landscape" (Marsch is fertile land in river valleys in the North-West of Germany) in the sun.

Suddenly, the idyllic scene is torn up. Three Tornado fighter planes are thundering above me, in the direction of Brokdorf. In a narrow curve they are clearing a nuclear plant and moving on along the Elbe (river), passing the chemistry factories there. I follow them with my eyes for a while, untill they disappear and there's nothing left other than ... a (Marsch-) landscape in the sun. Then I look inside myself again. Now, my thoughs take a different turn, just like what has just happened to the landscape spreading in front of me. It's out of the reach, but it's able to stun you at any time, like a flash! A revolt of phantasy is never harmless, but it's peaceful, because it's a symbol of revolution in each one of us, and it means the realization of the fact that violence makes no sense. Certainly, it's not an easy way of reaching
a better world, but it's the only way we've got.

I can give you no recipe, except the following: Give a chance to your phantasy. Whatever the result will be - it will work out better for you.
