Operation Ivy was most likely the best Skacore Band (as well as the first) to ever come out of the East bay.
There sound was so different from any of the other bands before or after them that
they changed the way most people thought about Punk or Ska at the time.
These were most likely all factors in why Operation Ivy got as big as they were.
In two years they had played around 185 shows, made over 8 releases and still had time to do a couple of
interveiws. Then in 1989, most likely plegued by self doubt and having to contend with the accusations of selling out made by paranoid punks
Op Ivy broke up. That is why I made this page, deticated to the buisiest Punk/Ska band there was.
If you are an online record club, i.e. songsearch, I wont put your link on my page for money or out of the kindness of my heart. So dont ask. I dont think that cashing in on op iv's name is right.
