Favorite Live Video: White Discussion | Comments: To Chad & everyone who has seen Live on the TDTH tour: I went to the Hammerstein show (my 15th Live concert since '91) on Nov. 19, 1999. The show was sold out, but my girlfriend went through a broker and got us tix for $125 a piece. Well worth the money!!!!!! Although, I remember seeing Live at the Troc in Philly, PA in '92, and paying $10 at the door the night of the show. Ed did a tremendous stage dive that night. Tix for the Trenton City Gardens were about the same price too. Anyway, with respect to the NYC show (and presumably all shows on the TDTH tour), why is Chad G. off in the corner by his lonesome. To me, a great aspect of a Live show is Chad on the drums. I realize that with Adam K., and keyboards on stage - it makes it logistically tough to set up the drum kit. But c'mon - put Adam in the background - Not Chad! No disrespect to Adam, but Chad deserves to be in the forefront. I had the pleasure of meeting Chad, Chad, Ed & Patrick after the show as they were getting on the tour bus. Thanks, Chad G., for being so damn cool. He asked me "what's goin' on dude?" --Like he was an old buddy of mine from the neighborhood. I met Chad G and he "was absolutely just like me." Chad, or anyone who knows, where in York did you grow up ( what street, East West North South York, York city etc)? I lived in East York for a while. It will be hard to take your advice Chad, you are such a great person, both a talented and phenomenal drummer, but a kind and considerate person who goes out of his way to sign autographs for fans, when the other members of the group do not. After meeting Chad i was relieved that there are still a few musicians out there who haven't let the fame get to them, and you are one of those people. I think you are the most talented and level-headed of the group, you are the glue that holds LIVE together!!!(and you are pretty cute too! hee hee) Th s is a very informative website that shows Chad as the cool guy he is. He just doesn't do anything interesting with the percussion and there's so much he could do if he tried. I has great information about Chad and I did learn a lot about him. Something that I would like to see, but would be very hard to get, would be comments from Chad about each show that Live performs. Kind of like what Ed does on his homepage. It interests me very much to see what the actual band members thought about each show. I think it adds a whole new view of the show that one doesn't get by reading a review of the show. That's one thing to try, as hard as it would be. Anyway, I think that your page is great, keep up the good work. I want DOAD. I have tried very hard to get a copy of this but have been unable to up to this point. It would make me very happy to get a copy. The only thing that I would need after that are autographs from the band, drumsticks that Chad has used in a show, a pic us d by Chad and Partick, backstage passes to one of thier shows... Favorite Member of the Band: Gracey, AND Ed (again I couldn't choose) Favorite Live Video: Opperation Spirit | Comments: First of all, I WANT DEATH...I MEAN DOAD!!!!! :) I have been looking for someone who would give or sell me a copy for quite some time, the SOY list just hasn't worked yet. Second of all, your site is great! How and where did you get all of those great pictures? (Especially the Public Affection promo shot, that was keen and I've never seen that one!) I think that you put everything together quite well...I'm seriously impress d. It looks like you've put alot of time into this site. One suggestion, the small Public Affection promo shot that's beside the "enter for a copy of DOAD" link on your main page...you need a bigger copy of that somewhere (if you have it, I didn't notice.) I have a copy of it scanned in to my computer from an o d article in Spin magazine, and it has a pesky line vertically through the middle (where it was in the binding of the mag.) and a line horizontally through the middle (probably from where the youngsters folded it) that I just can't get filled in quite rig t. So if you have a better and whole copy, that would be keen, if not, I can send you my doctored up pic... And two questions...I've never found "Paper Flowers" and it has a bunch of songs that aren't on the major albums, how come it isn't considered a whole album, why doesn't anyone else seem to know about it, was it an import, is it ridiculously priced, and h w can I get my hands on a copy? And the Shit Town album seems to have about all of MTV Unplugged on it. How come Jimmy hasn't mentioned it when people ask for a release of Live Unplugged? I see that it is an import...is it rediculously expensive, and where did you get your hands on it? ven the good import stores in my area have no Live stuff. I couldn't choose a favorite member, Gracey's one of the best drummers that I've ever heard, Ed's one of the most soulfull singers, Pat rocks all the world with his booming bass, and Chad T. rounds out the sound of the rest of the guys and makes them whol .... Have you ever noticed that they always leave the stage together and not one at a time? I think that says a lot about them. Well, I guess that's it. Thanks for the little look into Gracey's life. I hope to hear from you soon. |

I am a self-taught drummer, from York PA who used to play the saxophone (just like Gracey). But the band went to William Penn HS - I went to Central - their rival. Always knew their music was something special. Happy to say that they're the hometown boys. And it's nice to see a drummer site - too many people forget about the drummers - and Gracey is one good drummer. I can see why he is self taught - there aren't many good drum instructors in York (except one). Keep up the good work ! |
