Basta Bien:

Basta Bien Means...

"Enough Good" in Spanish.  Previously misinterpreted as "Good Enough," it was recently brought to our attention that the translation was incorrect.  Anyway, we are the only company producing movies in New Hampshire at this time.  Ok, the only company releasing FUN movies at this time.  Fun to make, not neccesarily fun to watch.  Our ground-breaking films so far have been:

Here are pics from the films!

Filmography:

Casa Vieja (No Mario!) - Starring Ethan Danahy, Aaron Hoffmire, Andrew Hartman, and Joshh Dokus

The Soapstone Duck - Starring Ethan Danahy, Aaron Hoffmire, Jim Driscoll,  Jaimal Warfield, and Nick Wilson

The Running of the Squirrels - Starring Ethan Danahy, Aaron Hoffmire, Jim Driscoll, Nick Wilson, Sam Upton, Adam Sharp, and Rory Kondrad

In business since early 1996, we are producing about 1-2 movies per year, all on shoe string budgets.  So far they have all been action movies, featuring bad dialogue, confusing plots, shoot outs, and anti-typical endings.

Basta Bien is:

Aaron Hoffmire

Aaron Hoffmire, artist, writer, producer, director, visionary.  The left ventricle of Basta Bien, his film credits include No Mario!, The Soapstone Duck (Nigel Phlegm, as well as writer, producer, director) and The Running Of The Squirrels (Boris, as well as writer, producer director.)

Ethan Danahy

Ethan Danahy

, musician, comedian, writer, producer, visionary.  The right ventricle of Basta Bien, his film credits include  No Mario, The Soapstone Duck (Max Gattling, as well as writer, producer, co-director) and The Running of the Squirrels (Secret Agent, as well as writer, producer, co-director) as well as on stage in Snegourochka.

Sam Upton

Sam Upton, actor, classical music lover. He makes his screen debut in The Running Of The Squirrels, but is a veteran of the stage, having appeared in It's A Wonderful Life, Trojan Women, and Godspell while in high school.  He also shows great promise as our new Fight Choreographer!

Nick Wilson, Nick Wilson

the film genius and soul behind Basta Bien, without him there would be fewer technical problems in our movies. He also handles special sound effects, sound/music dubbing, and the credits. His past acting experience on stage includes Beauty And The Beast, Cabaret Night At Rosie's Cafe, The Playboy Of The Western World, Into The Woods, Snegourochka, Trojan Women, Pride And Prejudice, and Godspell. He has also appeared in The Soaptsone Duck (The Cop, film crew, foley artist (the sound effects guy)) and has appeared in The Running Of The Squirrels (Bullwinkle, Henchman #1, as well as film crew, foley artist, and special video effects.) Mr. Steven Spielberg, Mr. George Lucas, Mr. Kevin Smith, hello, I need a job!

Jim Driscoll (Picture Unavailable) is Basta Bien's resident Sidekick and stunt coordinator.  He appeared in The Soapstone Duck (Slick) and was also the armorer.  He appears in The Running Of The Squirrels as the sidekick.

Picture Unavailable

Adam Sharp (Picture Unavailable) makes his Basta Bien film debut in The Running Of The Squirrels (Henchman #2) and from the acting skills we've seen so far, looks to have a bright future with this film company.

Picture Unavailable

Rory Kondrad (Picture Unavailable) makes his Basta Bien debut as well in The Running Of The Squirrels (Henchman #3) as wells as the Assistant Fight Choreographer.  An exuberant addition to the crew of Basta Bien, he is also an incredible Fight Choreographer, often improvising right in the middle of a scene!  His previous acting experience includes Trojan Women, Pride And Prejudice, Godspell, and And Flights Of Angels.

The Running Of The Squirrels Update!

      1/12/97

The movie is finished!  The final sound was put in early this morning and all that needs to be done is it has to be copied onto other tapes for distribution (to the people in the film, we wouldn't actually charge someone for this 15 minute wonder we've created... ok, they wouldn't, I probably would... Ok, fine we would all charge you a bundle, which is why it won't be distributed to the public at large unless someone sends us a bundle or unless someone (say a Mr... Kevin Smith, to randomly pick a name...) was interested in seeing what we came up with.  It cost me 20 bucks just to make copies for the people in the film!

Basta Bien News:

Filming for The Soapstone Duck II: Senseless Violence has begun, probably to be finished spring or summer '98, due to scheduling and budget problems.  It features the return of Max Gattling, as well as new adventures for our hero.

The script is almost finished for The Cooing of the Doves, the sequel to our much acclaimed '97 hit, The Running of the Squirrels.  Tentative cast list includes veteran Basta Bieners Sam Upton and Nick Wilson, to be joined (hopefully) by Jen Lake and Chris Snow.  Again, all tentative.  If all is in readiness, we hope to start filming in spring of '98.
