PERSONAL DETAILS
- Nicknames
- Noel Gallagher
- To the band and entourage he is known, in a rather ironic, light-hearted way, as "The Chief". To his brother he is Our Kid. When he was in his teens he was known by the appellation "Brezhnev"; a reference to the similarity in eyebrow growth.
- Liam Gallagher
- He is also known to his brother as "Our Kid".
- Paul Arthurs
- Since he was a small boy he has been known as "Bonehead". This is nothing to do with his premature balding, but to the haircut he sported when at school. At a time when the prevailing wisdom was to wear your hair long, Bonehead's parents insisted on a smart but decidedly unhip close crop.
- Paul McGuigan
- Known simply by the moniker "Guigsy" [pronounced Gwigzee; in part to differentiate from Ryan Giggs the Manchester United winger].

- Partners
- Liam
- Patsy Kensit ["his dove"]. Married 7th April 1997 at Westminster Registry Office, Marylebone Road, London. A previous attempt on 14th February 1997 was aborted due to media intrusion.
- Liam and Patsy have a son, Lennon Francis [born 13th September 1999].
- Patsy has been married twice before. Her first husband was Don Donovan, formerly keyboard player with Big Audio Dynamite (B.A.D). Next came Jim Kerr, vocalist with Simple Minds, by whom she bore a son, James [who is the subject of the Liam-penned song "Little James" on the 'Standing On The Shoulder of Giants" album].
- Having started appearing in adverts during early childhood, she made her film debut as a young child in 'The Great Gatsby'. She also appeared as a child alongside Liz Taylor in 'The Blubird'. She had her big break in her late teens in 'Absolute Beginners'. The film was panned by the critics and her acting ability then and since has been universally derided by critics.
- After this she fronted Eighth Wonder. The band included her now estranged brother, and picked up a recording deal with CBS [now part of Sony-Columbia] and released an album and a series of singles; all largely ignored by the paying public.
- Since the demise of the band, and apart from her flirtation with marital bliss, she has pursued a film career appearing in Lethal Weapon 2, Grace Of My Heart and Angels & Insects, amongst others.
- The relationship and marriage has been plagued by rumours, occasionally true, of tempestuous fights and amorous reconciliations. Most recently the UK tabloids reported a period of a week or so in October 1998 during which Patsy and her son James left the marital home in Primrose Hill, London. A meeting in a pub over a pie and a pint enabled a truce to be called and Patsy and James returned.
- Liam was born on 21st September 1972.
- Patsy was born on 4th March 1968.
- Lennon was born on 13th September 1999.
- Noel
- Meg Mathews. Married 5th June 1997 at the Little Chapel Of The West, Las Vegas.
- Noel and Meg are expecting a child due in February 2000.
- Meg was born on the island of Guernsey [off the south coast of England, close to France and in the middle of the English Channel]. She is a distant cousin of Matt le Tissier, the Southampton and England footballer. She spent some of her childhood in South Africa, before returning the the UK where she attended a minor boarding school.
- After school she started a foundation course at a college in Norwich before giving up the course, moving to London and selling wigs on Kensington Market. Later she moved on to selling clothes on the King's Road, where she met her best friend Fran Cutler.
- After a brief spell behind the reception desk in a West End gym where she met record company executives, she became involved in the music industry spending time organising warehouse parties, (wo)manning doors at clubs like The Ministry of Sound, and acting as PA to a UK singer, Alison Clarkson, who went under the name of Betty Boo during her fifteen minutes of fame.
- Later she jointly ran a DJ promotion and management company called 'Flavour' from offices in Baker Street, London. After that went belly up she met Noel at a Q Awards ceremony in 1994. At the time Noel was in the dying embers of an affair with MTV Europe presenter Rebecca de Ruvo. Shortly after, she and Noel got together and have been together since. Soon after Meg joined Creation Records as an Artist Liaison Manager planning promotional parties. She finally left Creation in November 1997 to take her shopping duties more seriously.
- During 1998 Meg set up a PR company called '2-Active' with long-time friend Fran Cutler undertaking media-related duties for a number of music and film clients. Cutler seems to undertake many of the office duties, whilst Mathews acts as the public face of the business.
- In September 1998, Meg took over a column in The Sunday Times for two weeks regaling readers with tales of negligible social froth. Subsequently she started contributing a weekly column to the Style section of the paper which ended in February 1999.
- The marriage shows no signs of rock couple strife, and an article in Q - March 1999 suggests it goes from strength to strength.
- Noel was born on 29th May 1967.

- Knew each other some time before Oasis formed, when Bonehead was still a plasterer.
- Guigsy
- Ruth Tolhurst. Married 4th April 1997 on St Lucia Island in the Caribbean.

- and, reportedly, in the south of Spain.
- Until the end of November 1999 they lived at 8, Steels Road, Belsize Park, London, NW3 but left prior to the birth of their first child, in part because of the endless stream of visiting media and "fans".
