The live shows built around it began Stateside then claimed their first European victims at a low-key high-voltage debut in London's Borderline Club back on April 22, 1990. I'll never forget the way the band took the stage that night; exploding with all the subtlety of a nailbomb at a christening after coming on one-by-one to the slowburning fuse of a Jimi Hendrix tape... first drummer Joey Gold, then livewire guitarist Jon E Love, followed by the bassist Skid brandishing a cross made from Budweiser cans and finally madman/badman Jizzy Pearl threatening to scalp the front few rows with a blood-red spray-paint flag.
