1-1

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Thank you! Thank you so much!" Sara said as she enthusiasticaly hugged her two friends Angel and Jessica. "It's the best birthday present ever."
"Glad you like it," Angel said hugging her.
"Like it, I love it! When do we leave?"
"Well it starts at 7:30 so if you want we can go now." Jessica commented glancing at Angel.
"Yes, now... lets go!" She said forcefully grabbing Angel and Jessica's fore arms and dragging them to Angel's car.
Jessica looked at Angel "Was this a mistake?" Angel just shrugged her shoulders and climbed into the driver seat of her blue Eagle Talon. She turned the keys and the car started with a hum as she quickly drove off down the road.
When they arrived there were hoards of people at the door beginning to crowd into the arena. The three of them handed the tickets to the lady. "Enjoy the concert..." She said with a smile as she handed them their stubs.
"Oh my gosh... This is sweet!" Sara said as she walked into the arena. "I can't believe you guys got me front row center tickets to a Backstreet Boys concert!"
"No sweat..." Jessica said. "I'll be right back." Jessica went off towards the stage.
"Come on let's go get a shirt!" Angel said pulling Sara.

1-2

"Hey," Jessica said as she sat down in her seat.
"Where have you been?" Sara asked.
"I had to go pick up something, no big deal."
Just as she said that the lights went out and the areana errupted with screaming. "Your the one for me, your my ecstasy, your the one I need...!" The Backstreet Boys sang as they started to dance across the stage. All three of the girls screamed as loud and as long as they could.
After one song they started to sing. "I'll never break your heart." Nick stood up off of the stool he was sitting on and walked up to the end of the stage jumping down.
Sara started to cry as Nick walked over and let her hug him. She took in a big wiff of air as she felt him put his hand on her back. She could smell the sweat and even though it wasn't a good smell she loved every instance of it. She let him go and wipped her tears. He winked at her grabbed a few hands then climbed back onto the stage to let Brian sing.
Sara stood in bewilderment having not yet registered what happened.

1-3

"BACKSTREET'S BACK ALRIGHT!" The boys sang as sparks went flying and everyone screamed there loudest. The boys ran off the stage and the lights came on.
"Did you enjoy yourself?" Jessica asked Sara loudly still mainly deaf from the music.
"Yes, I loved it! I still can't believe I got a hug from Nick Carter! Oh my gosh this is so awesome!"
"It's not over yet..." Angel said with a smile.
"What? Why? What did you guys do?" She said as tears began clogging her vision.
Jessica dug in her pocket and pulled out a piece of plastic with a string on it. Sara stared at the piece of plastic and slowly sat down. Jessica handed it to her.
"Its-its a backstage pass..." She said in astonishment as she felt it to make sure it was real.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Angel said.
Sara put the backstage pass around her neck and walked up to the security guard. He motioned for her to follow him. Excitedly yet cautiously she slowly followed him through the double door that led backstage.

1-4

"It'll just be a minute." The security guard told her.
'A minute? Where were they? Did the security guard have to go get them before they left? Would they leave and she wouldn't get to see them?' These were only a few of the dozens of questions racing through her mind.
She sat on a small couch that was placed in the corner of the room she was in. The wait, only seconds seemed forever.
Just then the door opened and the security guard walked in with no Backstreet Boys. "I'm sorry miss..." He said with a glum face. "They were forced to leave early due to a problem."
As tears ran down her cheek Sara walked out of the room and through the big doors. Angel and Jessica looked puzzled as she came through the doors. "Sara what happened? Are you ok?" Sara didn't say a word. She walked up and gave Jessica a hug. Jessica, puzzled by her reaction hugged her back.
"I didn't get to see them!" She said in a sob voice. "They left early!"
"Awww, I'm sorry Sara." Jessica said still hugging her.
"Come on." Angel told the two of them.
"Angel don't you at least care about Sara's feelings?"
"What I do know is we have to leave or we'll get in trouble: come on."

1-5

"What is your problem?" Jessica asked Angel.
"Huh?" She said not taking her eyes off the road.
"Since we left you have not shown one little bit of cocern!"
"Well I'm sorry all right." Angel looked in her rear view mirror. "Sara, are you ok?"
"Yeah, fine." Sara said faintly as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
"There. See, she's fine." Jessica yelled in frustration and slammed her head into the back of her seat as Angel pulled into a gas station.
"Come on, bathroom and munchie break." Angle told the two of them.
"Do you really think that Michigan is going to be a fun trip for her now?"
"It'll get her mind off of it." Angel said walking into the store.
"I gotta go to the bathroom." Jessica told her taking the bathroom key.
Angel looked out the door and watched the cars go by on the highway. "Jess..."
"Yeah?"
"Get Sara now. We're leaving..."
"But I gotta go to the bathroom."
"You can go at the next rest area, now go get her."
"Holy, ok..." Jessica said moving to the back of the store to get Sara.

1-6

"Angel, what is with you? First your totally not sympathetic for Sara. Then you won't even let me go to the bathroom!" Angel didn't say anything.
"Jess just leave Angel alone... really it's ok I'm fine. My birthday was great, you guys are my best friends, now please don't fight." Jessica gave into Sara's pleas; but only to make her feel a little better.
After a few moments Angel said, "Look Sara, I really am sorry about the backstage. And even about making you leave the store quickly. I-I just, well... I don't know." Sara looked at Angel in the drivers seat astonished at her apology.
"Angel, it's ok I'm fine with it. Your know that." Angel smiled and looked at her through the rearview mirror.

1-7 ~*~ Two Hours Later ~*~

The last three gas stations Angel didn't stop to let Jessica go to the bathroom. "Jess do you have to go to the bathroom?" She asked.
"Yes." Jessica said jiggling in her seat. "I've only been telling you that for the last two hours."
"Here, we'll stop." Angel said moving onto the on ramp.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you! I LOVE YOU!" Jessica flew out of the car and ran into the rest stop.
"Angel are you ok?" Sara asked.
"Yeah I'm fine now go..." Sara started up the walkway, "Wait...will you buy me a bag og chips?"
"Sure," she kindly said as she walked off. Angel slowly walked over to the opposite side of the rest area.(sorry it's so short but I wanted to stop it here)

1-8

"Where's Angel?" Sara asked.
"I have no idea." Jessica turned and saw Angel coming down the walk way to the car.
"There you are." Sara said. "Come on let's get-"
Angel cut her off, "Sara I need to talk to you..." Sara saw the distressed look and agreed. The two of them walked to the other side of the building.
"What's wrong?"
"I feel really bad about you not being able to meet the Backstreet Boys."
"Oh Angel it's-"
"No, let me finnish."Angel said interupting her. "So I got something different." She started to put a blind fold over Sara's eyes. "It's not as good as backstage but it's still something."
Sara wondered what it was as she cautiously let Angel lead her. "Step up..." Angel said.
'What was going on? Where was she?' Sara thought as she felt for the stair.
"Step up..." Angel said again. She reaped it two more times after that. "Ok, now sit right here." Sara sat down on something. It was soft and she could kind of bounce on it. There was a wierd yet homie feeling.
"Can I take this off now?" Sara asked.
"Sure, " a strange voice said.

1-9

Wondering she quickly took off the blind fold. "It's-What..." Is all Sara could say. She slowly got on her feet and pointed. "Your the Backstreet Boys!" She said starring at their faces.
"We know that..." One of them said jokingly.
"Your friend here told us about the concert and how you didn't get to see us." Kevin said.
"She said she was following us for like two hours waiting for us to pull over." Howie added.
"That's why we left in a hurry and you wouldn't let Jess go to the bathroom." Sara said. Angel just smiled with satisfaction.(Sorry this one is so short but I wanted to end it here also)

1-10

Sara shook hands with all of the Backstreet Boys and got a hug. "Would you mind just maybe doing one little thing for me? You don't have to..."
"Sure what is it?" Brian asked.
"Could you sing the part in 'Everybody Backstreet's Back' where Nick sings his little solo?"
"No problem..." They all said in unison.
Sara's eyes began to glow. "Yea... oh..." Nick sang. "So everybody everywhere, don't be afraid don't have no fear! Gonna tell the world make 'em understand... As long as their be music we'll be comin back again..." Nick smiled as he watched Sara begin to cry. "Oh come on," he said. "Please don't." He always hated when fans cried. It made him feel like he had done something wrong.
"Hey, hey, hey," Aj said. "I got an idea." Sara looked up.
"How about you start singing and we'll come in?" He told Sara to keep her from crying.
"Sure," she said wiping her tears. "What are we gonna sing?"
"How about 'Heaven In Your Eyes'..." Angel suggested. They all looked at her forgetting she was even there. "She always sings that song: it's her favorite." She commented; blushing at being the center of attention.
"'Heaven In Your Eyes' it is..." Nick said.

1-11

"K, I'll start and we'll both go for the chorus. Then you can do all the little extra's and the end ok?" He told Sara.
"Like the CD song or concert?" She asked.
"Concert..." He took a drink of water and cleared his throat. "Open up, your heart to me... And say, what's on, your-mind."
"Ah, yeah." Sara added.
He kept singing..."I know that we have, been through so much babe... But I still need you, in my life, this time..."
Then they both sang the chorus. "And I need you tonight, I need you right now. I know, deep within my heart. It doesn't matter if it's wrong or right."
"Take it Sara." Nick said.
Sara started. "Cause I see heaven....." She held the note for at least 11 seconds. Then she paused for a few seconds like Nick did in the concert and then sang. "Oh, I see heaven...Oh..." She held the last note once again. This time for much longer; with all her strength she sang out.
Then their was a pause as Nick took a quick second to register what she did. Then quietly and slowly Nick sang, "Cause I see heaven, in your..."
Then together they sang, "Eyes...." They quietly held out the note then let it fade to nothing.

1-12

"Where have you guys been?" Jessica asked. Sara got into Angel's car beaming. "What's up with her?"
"Oh nothing, she just got to sing her favorite song with Nick carter." Angel told her getting into her car.
"WHAT?! I'm jealous..."
"I got all of their personal e-mail addresses, too. Well Brian, Nick, and Aj. They're the only ones that have my internet service."
"And you don't invite me? What is this ditch Jess day?"
"Awww, Jess you know I still love you." Sara said as she gave Jessica a hug. "Now come on let's get goin... I'm in the mood to fly down the open road."

"That girl... What was her name?" Brian asked.
"Sara..." Nick replied.
"Yeah Sara... did you expect her to be able to do that?"
"No." Howie added.
"I mean sure holding out notes that long is expected from singers. But I didn't think..." Kevin stopped. All of them for some reason were amazed by how long she held out those notes. And how good her voice sounded.

1-13 ~*~ONE WEEK LATER~*~

"I'm gonna run down to the coffee shop." Sara said as she opened the door to their hotel room.
"Checking your e-mail?" Jessica asked. "Again?"
"Ok, ok so I'm a little paranoid..." Sara said as she left the hotel room.
She sat down at a computer in the coffee shop and logged onto the internet. 'Dink' was the sound it made indicating their was mail in her mailbox. Excited, she clicked on it and waited for her message to come up.
It read: "Sara. Hey, this is Brian. After you left we sat there stunned at the way you sang; your really good. So where do you live? Maybe next time we're in the area we could pop by." The letter went on and on.
After Sara was done reading it she wrote him one back then had a cappucino and left back up to her hotel room.
