When they got off they plane they rented a car. It was a small white Honda Civic, but it would do until they got their own. After asking for a lot of directions they found their house. They pulled into the driveway and sat in aw.
Krystan finally spoke. "Are you sure this is our house?"
"Thats what the directions say. Come on, lets go inside!" said Michelle as he opened the car door and ran up to the house. Krsytan was right behind her. She took out the key and opened the door. "Oh my god!" they both said at the same time as they looked around. They took a look at each other, then immediatly ran up the stairs to claim their rooms. After they found the rooms they wanted they went back downstairs. Krystan went into the kitchen.
"Hey Shell, look," She said as she picked up a card that was on the counter.
"What?" Michelle said from the other room.
"Come here, theres something for you."
She came into the kitchen and picked up the envelope. She opened it and inside was a card.
Dear Michelle,
I'm so sorry that I was never there for you. The reason I bought this house is because I love you so much, even though you never thought I did. But I do, and always will. I know I wasn't the best father, and all I can say is how sorry I am. I put my needs infront of my own daughter's. Your mother and I miss you very much, but we know that you and Krystan are happy, and thats all we want. Take care of yourselfs. I love you very much, and don't forget that.
Love Always,
Dad
Krystan had been reading it over her sholder. She saw tears coming down Michelle's face. She turned her around and cryed on her sholder. Krystan looked out the window and saw the moving truck outside.
"Come on girl, we have lots of stuff to unpack. Then you have to call your dad," She said still hugging her friend. Michelle wiped the tears from her eyes, then followed Kris out the door.

"Hey Bri, check it out."
"What now Nick?"
"Look!" Nick said pointing out the window.
"Ooo, we got some hottie neighbors," Brian said.
"Come on, lets go help them get the boxes out of that truck," Nick said while walking out the door.
"Wait!" Brian yelped then looked in the mirror and brushed his hair.
"You look fine, come on", Nick said grabbing him by the shirt.
As they walked across the street they got a better look at each of them. One had long blonde hair that went just pass her sholders. She was wearing a T-Shirt with the sleves rolled up to the top of her sholders and black shorts. Nick didn't even notice her. His attention was on the brunette. Her hair was about the same length as the other girl's and she was wearing a small navy shirt with regular jean shorts.
"Um, excuse us...." Nick said shyly.
The girls jumped and turned around, not seeing them.
"Oh we're sorry, we didn't mean to scare you", Brian said.
"Oh no, it's ok, we just didn't see you," said the blonde sweetly.
"Oh, well, I'm Brian, and this Nick and we just wanted to come and see our new neighbors."
"I'm Michelle, and this is Krystan," she said pointing to the brunette.
"Hi," She said quietly.
. Nick looked at her and smiled. She looked up into his baby blue eyes and smiled back then blushed and turned back to the ground.
"Where did you say you lived again?" Michelle asked.
"Oh we live right there, across the street," He said while pointing.
"I have a favor to ask. We haven't hooked up our phone yet, so do you mind if I use yours for a second?"
"Oh, no, go ahead. Here, I'll show you where it is", Brian said while walking back across the street to his house.
"I'll be right back Nick," Brian said before he left.
"So, Krystan, do you want some help unpacking?"
"You don't mind?" she asked.
"No, thats what I came over here for, and to meet you."
"Thats nice of you," she said while twirling her hair around her little finger.
"Here." She picked up a box from the truck and handed it to him. She picked one up too and they entered the house. "These go upstairs" she said.
"This is a pretty big house for the just two of you."
"I know. Your house is the same size, how many people live with you?"
"Actually, five. I just moved in there with them a couple months ago. My parents moved to L.A, so I came here to be with my friends. I used to live in Tampa, thats not too far away."
"Wow! Thats alot of people. Where are the other three?"
"Well, I don't know. I think they went shopping, but I'm not sure. They were gone when I woke up."
"Oh thats nice, they don't even tell you where their going," laughed Krystan.
Nick smiled. She was finally starting to show a little emotion. Maybe she wasn't as shy as he thought.
"So what made you guys move here?" He asked.
"It's a long story, I don't want to get into it," A small tear formed in her eye. "Let's go get the rest of those boxes."
Nick gently grabbed her arm and turned her around. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay," she said quietly.
He could see in her eyes that her past was definantly not her favorite topic... Something had happened to her, and obviously changed the way she felt towards people. Nick didn't want to lose this girl. He had to find out what happened.
She turned away and they went back outside. Michelle and Brian were coming back across the street laughing.
"Hey, me and the other guys were gonna go see a movie tonight. Would you like to come?" Brian asked.
"I don't think we have enough time. We still have to unpack, and go to the grocery store because we don't have any food," Krystan said trying to ease herself out of a date. She didn't trust them. She didn't trust anyone except Michelle.
"Sad to say, but I think she's right," said Michelle sadly.
"We could help you guys unpack, if you want," said Brian.
"And I know my way around the Publix down the street," Nick said, trying to spend as much time with Krystan that he could.
"Talk about sweet!" Michelle said while staring into Brian's eyes.
"We're just trying to help a couple of lovely ladies," Nick said.
"If you really want to help then Krystan and Nick can go down to the store and get the grocerys, and me and Brian can start unpacking."
"Fine with me. Should I take my car?" Nick asked.
"Well we have a rent-a-car until we get one, so it doesn't matter." Michelle said while pointing to the white car in the drive way.
"I guess I'll take my car cause I know where it is. Come on." He said while walking with Krystan.
When they were out of ear shot Michelle turned to Brian. "Is he safe, you know, like a good driver?" she asked.
"Oh don't worry. He's a very good driver."
