Wild thoughts ran through Amy’s head as she pulled on her jeans. She was on her way to the doctors, to take a pregnancy test. For some reason Jessica had been more then willing to take her. “Whats that all about?” She said quietly to herself.
“Ready Aim?” Jessica called through the door.
“Fire!” Amy called back as she zipped her zipper then did the button. They’d been using the ready? Aim? Fire! Drill for a while now. She quickly brushed her hair and looked in the mirror. The bruse had gone down a lot and it wasn’t even visible but it still hurt when pressure was on it.
“Why do you want to go so bad?” Amy asked as she and Jessica drove to the hospital.
Jess looked over. “I need a test too,” She said quickly and quietly.
“You mean you and, Kevin and you, you guys.... Oh my God!”
Jessica laughed. “It’s not that funny! We forgot the protection.... I’m scared shitless!”
“So how was he? Better then James?” Amy asked with the usual curious teenager smirk.
Jessica laughed again. “Hell yea baby!!!”
Amy shook her head with a small laugh.

Karine and AJ were having the time of thier lives. They had become good friends, and nothing more. They just enjoyed each others company because they had so much in common. They didn’t want to push it with a relationship and have it crash then they wouldn’t be friends anymore. They spent all their time together, driving around and just having fun. They went to clubs every night and danced thier brains out.
“Hey Karine, want to check out Illusions tonight? See what everyone’s talking about?” AJ asked with a devilish smirk as he invited Karine to yet another eight- teen and over night club.
“I’m always up for a good club!” Karine laughed softly.
“Tight! I’m gonna go home and change, I’ll be back for you in an hour!”
AJ kissed her quickly on the cheek then left.
Jessica gripped Kevin’s hand tightly as they walked down the hallway. She pulled him into his own room then locked the door. She sat down on his bed- her eyes glossy, about to overflow with tears but she held them in.
“Kevin....” She started but couldn’t continue.
It hit him harder then a speeding train. He held his breath and pulled her into his arms. She was nothing like she’d been before. Always strong, but now she looked like a scared teenager that just ran away from home.
“We leave tomorrow, Spring Break is over. It’s better this way anyway. A baby will ruin your career. I’ll decide on my own if I keep it or not.” Jessica’s tone sounded like she’d never be able to make a decision like that on her own. She was trying to be the hard, strong girl she always had been, but she just looked like a fake.
“Jessica what the hell has gotten in to your head? Why wouldn’t you keep this baby? I’ve known you for so long and your always talking about wanting children. I’m the father, I should have a say in this baby’s life too you know.”
Jessica’s eyes were red and she clenched her fists in anger. “Kevin you don’t have to carry this baby in your stomach for nine or more months then have to raise it for the rest of your life. This isn’t fair Kevin! I’m too young for a child! I could never go through it. Your whole career will go down the drain. The kid is going to need you and you’ll be far away touring in God knows where.”
“Jessica, I know this is all my fault. Ever since that night I’ve prayed that this wouldn’t happen and we wouldn’t be put in this place.”
Jessica looked at Kevin. A single tear rolled down her cheek. “I just need some time alone right now.”
She slammed the door and ran to her room. She locked the door then paced back and forth. A glance out the window and she knew where to go. A place she’d always gone when she needed to relax. The pool. She stripped then put on her orange and yellow stripped two piece.
She wrapped a big towel around herself then when out side. She stood on the edge of the pool, her toes bent over the cement rim. She saw her reflection in the water. Her belly was huge. Round and hard. She could feel the baby kick. Her face tight and skinny. She shivered at her ugly self. But that wasn’t the truth. Anyone else would have looked in the same reflection and seen a young, beautiful girl.
She pictured herself standing on the edge of a tall building- about to jump. She leaned forward, her hair traced around her face, being pulled down by the gravity. She leaned a little to far and she fell. She landed on the hard cement ground. Dead. But at this moment, she only wished that was true. The towel fell to the ground and she dove in.

Amy stood in Nick’s shower and joined her tears with the warm water. She thanked God that she wasn’t pregnant. That had to be the only thing she was happy about, besides Nick. The pain deep inside her heart was what was making her cry. She had to leave him. She’d avoided it all this time, but now was her only time left. They had one more night together.
She stepped out of the shower and put on a beige tank top and gray cotton boxers. She opened the door and stopped. Soft romantic music was softly playing from the big stereo and she could smell food. Come to think of it, she hadn’t eaten in two days. She followed the scent into the dining room then stood there in amazement.
There was a small round glass table set in the middle of the room. A vase with assorted roses was in the center, surrounded by white candles.
Nick quietly walked up behind her and slid his arms around her waist. He only did it because he knew how much she loved being in his arms and he’d do whatever she liked.
“Nick.... what’s all this for?” Her voice was barely a whisper.
“You.” He set his lips on her face shoulder and took in the scent of her strawberry shampoo. He moved his hand down her side then took her hand into his. He guided her to her chair then pulled it out for her like a gentleman. He then stood next to her with an imaginary note pad in his hand. “What would you like my lady? Tonight we have pizza, pizza, and best of all, pizza!”
She smiled and laughed softly. He was the cutest thing.
“Hmm... let’s see. What a big selection. I’d like to try the pizza please.”
“Very good choice!” With that and a small wink he went into the kitchen and came out with two plates of pizza. He set them down then sat across from her.
They ate and sipped Dr. Pepper out of wine glasses while making small talk, never even daring to bring up tomorrows plans.
Nick whipped his mouth then stood up. He walked over to Amy and pulled a navy velvet box out of his pocket. He opened it and took out a necklace with a gold heart pendant hanging on it.
“Nick! That’s beautiful.”
She held up her hair as he clipped it behind her neck.
“Open it.” He instructed as he sat back down.
She carefully opened the gold heart. Inside was a picture of them together. Arms around each other, smiling wildly. Oh the good times.
She got up and sat on his lap. “You are so sweet. You didn’t have to do this. I don’t even have anything for - ”
He cut her off with his lips. His hands gently massaged her lower back. Her hands played with his hair as they kissed. They slowly pulled apart at the same time. It was a powerful kiss. Full of admiration and dedication. Probaly the one with the most meaning.
He picked her up and carried her onto the couch then sat back down. Her head rested on his chest and she could hear his steady heart beat.
“I love you,” He whispered.
“I love you too.”
His other head started talking. Telling him to go for it. It was now or never. But he fought those urges. Now wasn’t the right time. She’d been through hell in the last week and he knew he’d have to wait. He wasn’t going to force her into anything she didn’t want to do, but he knew that she’d easily give herself to him.
His thought were interupted by the telephone. He picked it up off the charger.
“Hello?”
“Nick, Hey, this is Thorin. Can I talk to Amy?”
“Yea, sure.”
He held the phone in front of her. “It’s Thorin”
Amy picked it up. “Hello?”
“Hey Amy, I’ve got good news. The police just called. They’re pretty sure they found your man but they need you to come in and pick him out. Will you?”
Amy didn’t respond immediatly. She just sat there. She didn’t want to see his face again, but she knew that if she didn’t go he would be lose and able to hurt other girls.
“Amy? You there?”
“Yeah. I’ll go.”
“Ok, you two just be back here before eleven tomorrow. Bye.”
“Bye.” Amy hung up.
“What was that about?” Nick asked sincerly.
“The cops think they found the guy. They want me to come and pick him out tomorrow. Will you come with me?”
“Of course baby.”

Howie and Chrissy hadn’t let go of each other since the day began.
“What’s wrong?” Chrissy asked while twirling Howie’s curls in her fingers.
He hesitated to answer and she hesitated to admit she knew what was wrong.
“It’s because I’m leaving isn’t it?” Chrissy asked.
“I just wish it were different, you know? I mean I wish I could have one thing I want. I can have anything, but I can’t seem to be able to keep you here.” Howie said as he shifted her body onto his.
Chrissy could feel a burning desire in her heart. She pressed her lips gently to his. His hands roamed down her body as if they had a mind of their own.
They kissed, never letting go of each others lips and soon enough they were both undressed. His body had an amazing strength as he pushed himself into her. Sweat ran down her neck as she dug her nails into his back everytime the push became harder. Passion filled the room... and for the first time Howie made love to Chrissy.
Brian and Thorin were also together all day. No one else. They tried not to see the fact that she was going away tomorrow. Going back to her normal life, away from his love and fortune. It showed when he looked into her eyes. That’s all he had on his mind.
“Baby, don’t think about it,” Thorin demanded in a sensitive tone.
“Thorin, how can’t I? I can’t avoid it. The love of my life is leaving and I can’t stop it.” Brian thought for a moment about those words.
“Wait a minute... I can!” He grabbed Thorin excitedly.
“Marry me,” He asked while bending on one knee.
“Brian...”
“Just say yes!”
“Brian I can’t. Not now. I’m too young. I’ve got everything going right now. A good job, a loving, sexy boyfriend, the whole works. It’s not that I don’t want to, because God knows I do. Just not now. You can have any girl, and you chose me. I don’t get it, but I love it, and I love you. We haven’t even known each other that long, just give it time. Trust me, later on you’ll be glad I didn’t say yes.”
Thorin saw the hurt and disapointment in his eyes, but she also saw admiration and understanding.
She pulled him into her arms and kissed him.
