Chapter 20- Final Chapter

“Is that him?” Deputy Barry asked. The short, bulky man put his hands on his hips and tiredly waited for an answer. He had just gotten off his shift and wanted nothing more than to go home and sleep, but he was assigned this case. His rolls hung over his belt buckle and he walked with a limp.

Amy nodded slowly, her eyes looking straight at the man. It definatly was the guy. In the good lighting you would have never know he was a rapist. He looked like a middle aged married Christian man with probaly a couple kids running around at home. But that wasn’t the truth. He was a homeless man who fed on young girls, alone at night, and Amy just happened to quench his hunger that night. She wasn’t his first, and if she didn’t do anything she wouldn’t be his last.

Amy slowly walked up to him, her hand sliding down Nick’s then hanging down by her side. She pulled her arms up and crossed them over her chest. Her face was inches from his and she could smell his breath.

“How does it feel now? You’re the helpless one. Look at you, all chained up,” Amy’s voice hammered into him and he didn’t once look into her cold brown eyes.

“Did you like it? Was I a good fuck?” Her voice demanded harshly like a lawyer questioning the witness’s.

“Actually, I’ve had better,” He said lowly, actually looking into her eyes, showing he wasn’t afraid of her.

Amy turned around to walk about the swung back around and kicked him square where it hurt the most. He crouched down, and the handcuffs holding his wrists together made him fall on the ground, not being able to grab onto anything to keep him up. While he was on the ground she continued kicking him until two officers pulled her off.

She went into Nick’s arms and they left.

“You’re gonna call me everyday, right?” Howie asked while slowly helping Chrissy pack, trying to save every minute.

“Yeah, but you better remember to call me,” Chrissy answered with a weak smile.

“Don’t worry, I will.” He kissed her lightly on the cheek.

Chrissy began to cry. “I don’t want to go! I’m going to miss you so much.”

“I’m going to miss you too baby, but we can’t stay together right now, but we will later. Remember we’re going to Paris in a few months,” He looked into her brown eyes. “Je t’aime Christine”

She smiled. “Je t’aime Howard.”

He wrapped his arms around her from behind. “You were wonderful last night.”

Chrissy giggled wildly. “You weren’t too bad yourself,” She giggled while poking him in the stomach.

All of the girls were packing and outside shoving the suitcases and bags into the car.

No one said much, probaly not knowing exactly what to say. It was the day they never wanted to come, but it had to come some time. They each had their own lives and they needed to get back to them, even if it meant not together.

Nick pulled Amy into his arms and pressed his nose to her cheek. He leaned down further and pressed his lips to hers, then gently guiding his tounge inside passionatly. She tasted the familiar sweetness in his mouth and never wanted it to end. How was she going to do anything without knowing she could fall into his arms at night and he’d make everything alright like he’d always done before? How was she going to get through a day without having him plant kisses all over her face just to show how much he loved her?

“Amy baby, don’t cry,” He kissed away her tear. “I love you so much. In a few months we’ll be together again, and everything will be the same, I promise. Call me as soon as you get home so I know your ok, k?” Nick asked gently.

She nodded as another tear came down. She couldn’t speak. She knew that if she opened her mouth she would break and more tears would fall and she’d never be able to stop them.

They all gave their final hugs and kisses then all the girls got in the car.

Kevin and Jessica hadn’t spoken to each other since last night. “I love you,” He said while gently planting a kiss on her cheek as she got into the drivers seat.

“I love you too,” Was all she said. She didn’t want to go. She needed him. This baby needed him. She needed him to make her do the right thing because she knew she couldn’t do it on her own. “I’ll call you.” Were her last words as she started the car.

Soon they were gone. From Orlando, from the big white house, and most off all, from the arms of the ones they loved, not knowing if they’d ever be back. Spring Break was over.
