Around 10 o'clock when the sun was glistening and the heat gazed on the roof of the Orlando house, everyone finally awoke.
"Hey Kev, there's a note here for you." Howie said while handing him a piece of light pink paper written on in blue ink.
Kevin,
I'm sorry but I had to go. A relationship between us would never work out. I'm so sorry. Please tell Amy, Thorin and Chrissy to have fun. I'm sure one of you will bring them home.
Kevin dropped the paper. He could feel his heart rip into two.
"What's it say?" Nick asked while pouring Amy and himself a glass of juice.
"She's......she's.....gone." Kevin's eyes filled with tears. He threw the paper down and ran up the stairs.
"What happened?" Chrissy asked.
Amy picked the paper off the floor. They all watched as her eyes scanned the paper. "It's true! She left him....and us!" She handed the paper to Chrissy.
"Here's another note!" Howie said.
"Lemme guess, they ran away and are never coming back!" Nick joked.
"No silly, Thorin had to go to court for a trial. I guess Brian went with her, thats all. She's a lawyer......so she sometimes leaves." Amy explained.
"Oh...." Nick smiled in embarrassment.
---------------------------------------------------------
Kevin wiped his tears. "Life goes on" he thought. "I'll be all right."
Chrissy knocked to comfort him. "If you need us we'll be here for you, all of us."
"Thanks" he yelled back.
She walked down the hall. "He just needs a little time alone" she said.
"Yeah, he's hurt" Amy said.
Nick and Howie were uncomfortable with the tought of Kevin being so unhappy.
"Lets go out for breakfast," Howie suggested.
They all agreed and left, closing the door silently.
------------------------------------------------------------
"Brian, wake up!" Thorin shook his arm.
"Are we there?" he asked.
"Yeah" She smiled at the sight of him as he awoke.
"You look tired," he said.
"Yeah, I am," she laughed. She grabbed her briefcase and opened the door.
"Are we at a prison?" he asked while looking around.
"No, its only a county jail."
"Whats the difference?"
"Prison is alot worse, and bigger," she smiled. He was going to learn something from this trip. Maybe he'll learn how to fall in love.
----------------------------
"Mrs. DiBiase are you aware of your clients where abouts?" Reports from every where came running to them. "Is he guilty?"
"Just stay close to me and dont talk to them." Thorin grabbed his hand. Chills went up her spine at the touch of his hand. She clenched it tight. They quickly walked through the doors. Guards held the reporters and cameras back. Often hearing, "Isn't he a Backstreet Boy?"
"Mrs. DiBiase come this way," a guard greeted her. "Is HE coming with you?" he said coldly.
"Yes!" She slammed the door in the waiting room.
"Wow!" Brian laughed.
"I'd probaly be in your shoes if I went on tour with you or something, "she smiled.
"You want to know my favorite part?" Brian whispered getting closer.
"And whats that?" She smiled flirtatiously.
"This....." He kissed her infront of everyone.
"I'm on business!" she laughed.
Brian smiled. "We'll deal with that business later."
She laughed and kissed him back.
---------------------------------
"I feel bad just leaving him all alone, you know?" Amy said.
"No, he's better that way. We can talk to him later when he's cooled off. He's probaly cleaning the house right now," Howie replied.
"Aw, he cleans when he's depressed? Me too," laughed Chrissy as she took a sip of her apple juice while they waited for their food at Denny's.
"This is wierd...you guys are so famous, and rich....but you still eat at small family restarunts," Amy said.
"Yeah..but we love it here. And anyways, we are just normal guys," Nick yawned. "You have a very hard couch," he said to Howie while rubbing his neck.
Soon the food arived and they ate quickly with Chrissy begging to get back to Kevin. "I just really feel like talking to him, I feel so bad. And Amy has to call Jessica," Chrissy explained.
"I am?" Amy asked suprisingly.
"Come on, I really do not feel like arguing with her."
"And I do?" Amy asked.
"She's your friend." Chrissy said.
"She's your cousin!"
Chrissy gave her a pleading look. "Uhhh......fine!" Amy said while standing up and stomping her foot.
Howie and Nick, who had been quiet the whole time, followed them, leaving a tip on the table.
---------------------------------------
"Visitors for 5E may come now," the guard said.
"Ooh, thats my call" Thorin said while jumping up.
"Okay" Brian said, still seated.
She could feel that he wanted to come. "Come on silly!" She grabbed his hand and pulled him up. Brian jumped up casually and followed her.
They waited at the metal doors for the buzz to let them in.
"Tom!" Thorin ran over and gave him a hug. Brian was hit with a case of jealousy. "Tom, I want you to meet my boyfriend, Brian."
Thorin took his hand and gave him a go along with me look.
"Hey" They shook hands and sat down.
"Now....down to business," Thorin said seriously.
"Well...." Tom went on.
-----------------------------------------
When they arrived back at the house they saw Kevin's car gone.
"He probaly got hungary," Nick suggested.
"Call her!" Chrissy urged and handed Amy the phone.
"You owe me big time." She pulled herself onto the island in the kkitchen and dialed the number.
They all stared at her puzzeld face. "It says her phone has been disconnected."
"Oh, its like that sneaky bitch to do something like that," Chrissy hissed.
"Aren't you guys cousins?" Nick asked.
"I'm not related to her!" Chrissy yelled.
Howie laughed and kissed her lips to calm her down.
"I'm alright, I'm alright," she kissed him back, laughing along.
Nick and Amy glanced at each other not realizing the gaze. Amy just sat there looking into his blue eyes. "I love you.." she kept saying over and over in her head. She only wished he could read her mind.
-------------------------------------------
"Ok, we'll see you in court on April 25" one of the other lawyers said to Thorin.
Thorin got up and grabbed her briefcase.
"Thor, thanks for being here. I really needed your help." Tom hugged her again.
"I'm helping you as your lawyer...and your friend," Thorin gave him a reasurring smile.
"You take care of her," he said to Brian.
"Don't worry, she's in good hands."
Thorin smiled. She knew it was a good idea to bring him.
