Destruction
by Elizabeth

There is a pull towards that we shouldn't have
A powerful force that we cannot explain.
It hangs o'er us like shadows of the night
To bring us to the realm of the insane.
When darkness falls, this shadow calls to us,
Atracting us like moth to brightest flame,
We try so to ignore the siren's song
And all our lives will struggle in this game.
Although they do all in their power to fight
The call's too strong for some-and so they heed
The serenade of destruction herself
And then succumb to what they think they need.
Destruction claims another victim then,
And seeks and preys on humans once again.
