Fatal Fun Night
by Elizabeth
The moon that dark October night
Shone in the sky so clear and bright.
Who would have known that 'fore the dawn
He would be lost, forever gone?
They knew not what he would have done
At the party to have some fun.
Sure, things would get a little loud-
It's a party, it's a crowd.
No child's party would this be
Although he's young, at twenty-three.
He was a really good, nice kid
Rebel he rarely ever did.
Never did he smoke or drink
About drugs would he never think.
But at the party that fateful night
What they knew not would come to light.
At the party with the crowd-
A little high, a little loud-
With he as high as all the rest
The drugs they really did their best.
On the sidewalk he did fall
Paramedics they did call.
Too late were they, the drugs inside
Got him and he finally died.
Someone who'd died so very young
Just to have a little fun.
A party wild, a fateful night
Under the moon so clear and bright.
