Something in the Air

There's something in the air
every fall when the cold wind blows
People going, people staying
Why they make those decisions, no one knows.
Leaves turn to red and gold on the trees
While the sky is bright blue aboce
And all around people make decisions
Trying to help the ones that they love.
I see a leaf floating by in the air
Like one who's had to go away.
Somewhere they're in a better place
On this beautiful autumn day.
There's something in the air
Maybe what I feel is the wind of change.
It always seems to bring something new and good
Though they may at first seem sad and strange.
Life is full of changes
But we won't be given more than we can bear.
Just look at it as a brand new chance
Brought about by something in the air.
