Hours are signed by forming the number on the right hand and moving this formation in an upward arc from the tip of the extended left hand index finger.

EXAMPLES OF HOW TO SIGN TIMES

• 1/2 PAST 7  Sign HALF (either formation), sign PAST, sign 7.
• 7.30             Sign 7, sign 30.
• 1/4 TO 10    Sign QUARTER (either formation), sign TO, sign 10.
• 9.45             Sign 9, sign 40, sign 5.
• 25 TO 12     Sign 20, sign 5, sign TO, sign12.
• 11.35           Sign 11, sign 30, sign 5.
