I Remember
I remember a time not so long ago
I had no real problems lots of friends no foes
What happened to those days of fancy free
Being barefoot playing jumprope and just being me?
The dolls and the books and all of the cuddles
The splashing and playing in all the rain puddles?
The bicycle riding and the dancing lessons
The trophys and ribbons and all such possesions?
My drawings, my crayons and my colored chalk?
While doing my artwork I didn't squawk!
Time spent with my sister, brothers, mom and dad
Those were the best days that I ever had!
That time and those things are mostly all gone
But never really forgotton...life just goes on!
I remember those days they're part of me
I count them as blessings from God you see!
