Sakura Kinomoto was an ordinary 10 year old until she stumbled upon a book her basement. She broke the seal of the book of Clow and scattered all but 1 of the Clow cards. The Windy Card. From that moment on, she became a Card Capture, devoted to retrieving all of the Clow Cards. The Guardian Beast, Keroberos(more like stuffed animal) aids Sakura in developing her magical powers. Early in the story, Li and Shaoron were introduced as Card Captures. It now was a contest, or race, to collect as many Clow cards availible and to become the one tru Card Capture.

In my opinion, the U.S. version has left out many of the good scenes and plots from the original Japanese version. First of all, the love lives of Tomoyo, Sakura, and Li are watered down because the states kids cannot grasp the concept of folish love. It's funny when Tomoyo-chan acts like she has a crush on Sakura. NO, my opinion is not based towards any pervertedness, you know its a bit funny when little girls and little boys "act goofy" towards the same sex. In the future, I would like to add Episode Summarys for all, if not most, of the Japanese CCS version.
