JANUARY 21, 2001: It's been almost three months since the site was last updated, and a lot of things have changed. Read about them in the What's New section.
But before you do, take a gander at the Latest strip! Hopefully things will return to a semblance of regularity around here, and I'll get the strip back to its weekly schedule.
As far as the story goes ... here's what's happening:
Superchum's quest for a Superhero HQ that suits the Mighty Befrienders' needs brings him into contact with the stranger side of the real estate business in Suburbs. The Adventures of Superchum and the Mighty Befrienders ... the world's friendliest adventure comic, chronicles the life of Shmitty Atkinson, a former social worker turned superhero. After discovering his powers, Shmitty dons the mantle of Superchum and vows to make friends with the entire world. Aiding him in his quest are Friend and Girlfriend, his two super sidekicks. The Befrienders make their home in the quaint, town of Suburbs, an almost ideal replica of the "American Dream." But they constantly discover that "making friends" isn't as easy as it looks, even in the nigh utopian community that Suburbs is supposed to be. |
