Merry TubaChristmas!!!
On 21 December 2002 I played at my sixth or seventh TubaChristmas, a celebration of Christmas as well as the fraternity of low brass players (Seriously though, it really is.).  This was the second TubaChristmas held in Carousel Mall in Syracuse.  Above is a picture of me with my broseph Tim (black shirt), Mike D (green hat), Muppet F (Mike's bro, red scarf), and my former band teachers Marv Arnold (red shirt) and Bob Washbon (red hat, flannel shirt).  See if you can find Mike and I in the newpaper clipping below (thanks to Mrs. Waite for clipping it out).  Although it says there were around 60 tuba and euphonium players, the actual number was over 80 because of people like us who didn't go to the rehearsal (and thus register) for the concert.  TubaChristmas is something I look forward to every year despite the fact that I no longer play instruments on a regular basis.  If you have never been to TubaChristmas, I would highly suggest making it an annual part of your holiday ritual.  The sound of all that low brass is indescribable and the Christmas carols we play are guaranteed to enhance your holiday cheer.
