Super Comp Quick Catch Rules
Below are the rules for the Quick Catch:

1.  Time starts when the hog
    clears the shoot.
2.  Turn your dog loose at
    this time.
3.  Follow your dog closely
    around the pen until they
    catch.
4.  The HANDLER must yell
    "CAUGHT" very loud!! Only
    the handler can yell.
5.  The clock stops and the
    judge/inspector calls a
    three count.  The dog must
    remain caught on the hog
    from the shoulders-forward
6.  All catches must be made
    from the front shoulders
    forward, on or about the
    head.  If your dog catches
    any other area, there will
    be a five second count.
    If your dog doesn't rebite
    within those five seconds,
you will be dq'd.  You may
    not touch your dog during
    this time.  You may yell
    or talk to your animal.
    If the owner/handler has
    yelled caught before the
    dog adjusts his bite and
    after the five second rule
    , and has not rebitten
    the dog is dq'd.
8.  If the dog releases before
    the three second count,
    the dog is dq'd.
9.  The ICA judge/inspector's
    decisions are final in all
    instances.
10.  Any deviation from this
     guideline will void the
     ICA involvement.
11.  The owner cannot yell
     caught until the dog has
     a legal catch from the
     front shoulders-forward.
12.  All contestants must
     register with the ICA
     prior to competing in
     any ICA sanctioned event.
13.  The ICA will only
     sanction events cleared
     by the senior inspector/
     judge prior to the event.

Contest Outlines:

1.  All 100 dogs will run per
    quick catch rules. Dogs
    order will be determined
    through drawing of numbers
    1-100.  Number one starts.
2.  Top 10 dogs with the
    quickest catches will go
to the next level of the
    competition.
3.  We will take an hour break
    between the two levels.
4.  Each dog (top 10 winners)
    will run three times.  The
order they run in will be
    determined by their first
    level finishing times.  We
    will take those times and
    invert them. Number ten
    will start.  We will go
    through to number one,
    then start at ten again
    until each dog has gone
    three times.
12. At the second level, a dq
    is determined as 30 secs.
It does not take a dog out
    of the comp. automatically
    as in the first level.
13. The dog with the lowest
    total time wins.  For ex:
    Dog A --12.2, 14.3, 30
            (total of 56.5)
    Dog B --5.3, 8.5, 30
            (total of 43.8)
    *Dog B would win.
