Super Cosplay Flash Presents: Anime Central 2002 April 19th-21st

Hyatt Regency at Chicago O'Hare Airport

After going to Anime Central for the 1st time last year, I decided to go again this year, and fortunately it was at a different hotel: closer to the airport, bigger, and not undergoing any major renovations taking place during the weekend of the con! Other difference was that I went to A-cen this year by myself, but I met a lot of new faces and made new friends, and enjoyed the company I was with the entire weekend. The VIP suite was very nice, overcrowded at times, but an adventure nonetheless.. (Thanks, Kat!) Saw some familiar faces & friends, one of them was my talented cosplayer & artist friend Erika Door (pictured left) who had brought the finished Saitou Hajime costume I asked her to make for me. *BIG HUG* Saitou will be debuted at Fanime next weekend. A-cen 2002 weekend was the debut of my new, digital camera, the Canon PowerShot S110, and you'll see how the pics came out below. Overall I had a great time at Anime Central, and will now have to compare which convention within a 2-week span will be better: Anime Central or Fanime? Those of you who attend both.. what do you think? Ciao!

Email Trowa Al for comments, questions, etc. If you know any of the names of cosplayers and characters they're cosplaying as that I didn't know, please e-mail me to inform me which picture # to edit. Thanks! animeng@msn.com

NOTE: Pardon if these pictures aren't all up yet, as I'm working on getting these pictures up before doing it all over again at Fanime the weekend after A-cen. Hopefully when the convention craziness calms down in May, I'll work on both pages. Thank you for your patience.
