These two cars are owned by George and Kathy Lolas. I consider them lucky to have one of each! Here are the stories in George's own words:

Plymouth Street Kit Car

"I purchased the Kit Car in Las Vegas in Februaury 1998 after seeing it for sale in Hemmings Motor News. The car was originally sold at a dealership in Massachusetts and later registered in upstate New York. The third owner drove it to Las Vegas where it stayed until I purchased it and drove it to Northern California.

The car has 92K original miles on it and still boasts the original paint and interior. It is a numbers matching car with the original E58 and 727 transmission still in it. Options include factory A/C, factory rear window defroster and dealer installed cruise control. The car has a blue bench seat with a column shifter. The most interesting thing about this car is that it has a build date of July 17, 1978. With the Chrysler production cycle runnning fom August through July, there is the strong possibility that this was the last Kit Car built.

Future plans include a full restoration, but for now I enjoy showing it as an unrestored original survivor."

Plymouth Super Coupe

"I purchased the Super Coupe earlier this month at a lein sale saving it from an eventual date with the crusher. The car is in amazing condition considering that it has been sitting for almost 12 years. All indications are that the car only has 35K original miles and is also a numbers matching. This photo was taken on the day it was towed home. This Super Coupe is a California car with all of the additional California emissions added to the E58 360. It also has a 727 transmission and 3.21 Sure-grip rear end. Options include factory A/C, factory cruise control and a bucket seat interior with a center console. This car has a red interior that is in excellent condition and 3 out of the 4 original Goodyear Aramid radials still on it.

Immediate plans include trying to get it fired up after 12 years and eventually it will also be completely restored."

I'd personally like to congratulate George and Kathy for their efforts to keep these cars alive for all to enjoy. They can be contacted by e-mail at gklolas@juno.com
