In the early 1960s GM-H realised it needed to move away from building only large cars. Other makes offered a choice of car sizes and types so Holden had to follow suit.
The Torana range started off with the HB, then the LC, the LJ/TA Torana, the LH, the LX and last but not least the UC.

Hey this is my first posting. I am still looking for a torrie to buy. I found one in the trading post the other week it was:
LX Torana, 202, 350 Holley, Dragway Splatt Mags, lowered, sports steering wheel, sports sway bars
$600 or near offer.
It was advertised for $800 the week before but the guy couldn't sell it. I rang him and he said the engine was in perfect condition and there was only a little bit of rust. It was too much of a bargain to leave alone. So i was going to rinf to arrange a time but it was already sold.
Oh well i'll just have to keep looking, and if anyone has a torrie for sale in South Oz (doesen't matter what model LC, LJ, LH, LX or UC) contact me at my e-mail supercow55@hotmail.com Will update the site soon.

G'day well its been along time between updates but i've been pretty busy with school and other things. In that time have had a look at a few torries. One was an
LX Torana sedan, worked 202, engine rebored, new cam, 350 Holley, extractors, mags, good interior, heavy duty clutch, springs redone, body straight with only a little rust $600 or near offer
It sounded perfect so arranged a time to have a look at it. When i went round there he'd already sold it.
The second car was a LX Torana sedan, only a 179 motor, reconditioned, slr paint with black bonnet and rest of car red, mags, good interior, $600 or near offer again
It sounded alrite but when we went to have a look the guy had sold it again. Oh well something should come around eventually. Anywayz thats all for this post until next time. Go the Torrie! Benny
