TRIX TIPS

The Ollie

The ollie is the most basic move inskateboarding. It is the trick that you should learn first. First you positionyour back foot on the tail of your board and your front foot around the middleof your board. Then you push down on the back kick of your board with your backfoot and jump in the air while you slide your front foot towards the top of theboard. Then you level off so your board is straight and then you land it Here is a picture of chuck doing an ollie over another skateboard

The Shuv-It

The Shuv-it is when you spin the board 180degrees and land. First you position your back foot on the tail and your frontfoot in the middle of the board. Then you whip the board around with your frontfoot and jump so when the board spins around 180 degrees you jump back on theboard and you have done a shuv-it.

The Kick-Flip

The Kick-Flip is when your board flipsunderneath your feet and you land it. First you position your back foot on thetail and your front foot in the middle of the board with your toes on the heelside of the board. Then you smack down on the tail like the ollie except yourfront foot slides off the side of the board making it flip. Then you land theflip while your in the air and come down and you have done a kick-flip.

50/50

First you roll up to the object you aregrinding at a slight angle. Then you ollie up on to the object, locking yourtrucks onto the object. Then you ride the grind out for as long as you can andthen pull off or olliie off.

The Fronstside 180

The first thing you must be able to do beforeeven trying this trick is the ollie. After you learn that you want to positionyou front foot right before the screws and your back foot on the tail. Then youwind up, pop an ollie and as soon as you do you need to start unwinding yourbody and turn 180 degrees. Your board should follow and you ride of switchstance.

The Backside 180

The backside 180 is the opposite of thefrontside 180. First you must be able to ollie and suggesting the frontside180. The most important thing when doing the backside 180 is your windup beforethe trick. You windup and then pop the ollie and you must let your body untwist(opposite way of the frontside) while spinning with the board. You will landswitch and that is all.

The 360 Shuv-It

The 360 Shuv-it is when you spin the board 360degrees and land. First you position your feet where they would be mostcomfortable(you'll probably have to figure this out). One very important thingwhile doing this trick is you musn't flip the board while spinning. Then youwhip the board around, pushing across with your front foot and kiking back withyour back foot. Let the board spin 360 degrees under your feet and hopefullyland on the board.

The Nollie

The nollie is a fakie switch-stance ollie.First you must be able to switch ollie. Then you ride switch/fakie and you popan ollie. Finally you ride off and that is a nollie.

The Heel-Flip

The heel-flip is almost the same thing as thekick-flip except you flip the board with your heel. First you position yourback foot on the tail and your front foot in the middle of the board with yourtoes sticking over the edge of the board a very little bit. Then you smack downon the tail and when you release your back foot you kick down on the toe sideof your board with your heel. Try to keep the board spinning under you and thencatch the board and ride off.
