CHAPTER#1 "LIVE MY CHILD YOU ARE THE LAST HOPE!" Lorei and Kyabetsu were fighting in the back yard, when they heard Kyabetsu's father come into Lorei's house. "That baka! Can you believe what he said?" he asked Lorei's father. "Imagine that! Freeza planning to destroy our planet! Bardock is insane." The two saiyans laughed, not giving much thought to the matter. Lorei looked up at Kyabetsu searching for reassurance. Just last week in their bethrodal ceremony, they had heard two of freeza's men talking about how soon they would be rid of the saiyan planet. At 6 years of age ,Kyabetsu acted like a grown saiyan. "It's true then?" Lorei asked him, her blue eyes wide with fear. Freeza is planning our death?" "I think so. It's futile to try and warn the others. If Burdock wasn't believed, then they'll laugh at us even harder." Kyabetsu said leading her away by her hand. "Where are we going? We can't use the spacepods! We are too young to travel alone!" She explained when they arrived to the chamber where her parent's kept their ships. "We can't stay here. As my future wife you have to mind what I say. I have to protect you." "Maybe is not true! Maybe Bardock is just crazy, maybe is just a misunderstanding." "We both know is true. He is strong enough to kill the king. Let's look for the prince. I bet he'll know what to do." Lorei nodded realizing that he was right and they left. The next 21 years were spent running away from Freeza's men. Their search for Prince vegueta had been unsuccessful, Most of the planets they had landed in were under Freeza's rule making it impossible for them to live in peace. After many months of traveling from the planet Yadra, one of the few places suitable for decent life, they were approaching a blue planet with four major islands. "Kyabetsu! I can't take it any longer. We have to land! Ahhhhrg!!" cried Lorei, this was her last month of pregnancy. Her child was about to born. "Hold on. The computer is landing the ships as fast as it is possible." came his voice from the speaker. Both pods landed at the same time next to a shrine. Kyabetsu quickly got out of the ship and helped Lorei out. He took her in his arms inside the temple. "Anyone here!! I need some help!" he called out as Lorei tightened her grip on his armor. A succession of green-haired blue maidens came out from one of the many candle-lit passages. The younger one approached them. "We'll take care of her. wecome to planet Azure, this is the shrine of the goddess Hoshiummi." this said, the other priestess came and took Lorei with them. He waited for a long time looking into the face of the goddess statue. His red hair had more spikes to it than usual, his brown eyes were marked by fatigue. A baby's cry pierced the shrines stony silence. He hoped for a male child, yet he loved Lorei so much that if it was a female he would love it as if it was a male. The footsteps from one of the priestess made him turn away from the statue. "Alas! Our goddess is very beautiful. And I'm sure so will this girl." she said holding out a little baby all bundled up in a blue cloth. "Is my woman all right?" he asked the blue maiden as he took the baby from her. "Yes, she is quite safe. You are a very strong creatures. She insisted on going to the sacred statue to pray to the goddess. She didn't even need help to walk." The maiden said "She wanted you to be with her. Follow me" He followed her into one of the passages and found Lorei clothed in a loose white slipdress kneeling before a life size statue of the goddess carved in white silver, stretching out her hands with their palms up. The younger maid was sitting beside Lorei. "Lorei...." he called to her. She stood up and came to him with a smile on her face, her blonde hair falling past her waist. "There is nothing to worry about. Our child will be safe." she told him taking the baby from his arms. "Your wife is a wise woman, she wants her bay's safety above anything else. I know the goddess heard her." the young maid from the shrine said. "I sure hope so Zulima. I've never prayed to anything before." Lorei told the maiden. A blue light filled the room and the goddess came to life. Aqua eyes, silver flowing hair, porcelain skin, she truly looked as a goddess. She held out her arms and Lorei gave her the child. "You my precious little girl, will be the key to unleash the power of the swordbearer. You will protect the swordbearer and liberate the ones in the Sacred Niwa. I'll protect you little one, for you will help the swordbearer brake the stone lock on the gate." the goddess said in a soft musical voice. "I will see you to safety, I will grant your mother's wish. you shall live to see your saiyan prince. You shall come to me when exactly 18 turns have passed. So I have said, so it will be." A storm fell on the shrine with her words, the only maiden who had remained was the young one, the others had ran away from the room too scared to stay. "Her name shall be Benten, for I will also protect her. This child is going to be much needed in my father's kingdom" came another voice. A sudden glow of flames appeared and another goddess came into view dressed in a scaly green kimono. Her eyes were gold, her hair was a deep fiery red. She took the baby from the ocean goddess. "I am Benten, the daughter of the Dragon god. Your daughter will be needed in my father's world." She presented herself to Lorei and Kyabetsu. "I will give her the power to fulfill your mission Hoshiummi, if you let the sword bearer help the child to save my father's world." "Of course. They shall help each other." Hoshiummi said and turned back into the silver statue. Lorei bowed to the dragon goddess extending her hands to her. The dragon goddess gave her back the child. "If you permit my daughter to live, I assure you that she will do as you say. A saiyan is not known to keep his word, but my daughter will keep mine." Kyabetsu said. "Her name shall be Benten as you wish, but you must protect her from Freeza. His man are close on our heels, they'll do anything to kill us. Our lives mean nothing, but my child must be spared." Lorei said to the goddess who smiled kindly to them. "She will be safe. As for Freeza...that creature will be sorry he ever lived. He will receive his death by the hand of one of your people. Now remember thy promess, name the child Benten and I will give it power and abilities not found in the females of your race. Hoshiummi will take her to safety when the moment comes." After two months in the planet Azure they left. Freeza's man had found them in a planet near Orison's belt a couple million of thousand lightyears away from the earth's galaxy. "Stop damned saiyans! In the name of the great Freeza I command you to stop!!" one of the soldiers said. "Hurry Lorei! We might be able to make it to the ships" Kyabetsu helped Lorei up from where she had fallen and took the baby in his arms. "Come on!!" "Look there are the ships!" She told him as they ran out of a cave. "Put the baby inside the ship! Hurry!" came the goddesses voice. "Do as they say Kyabetsu. Freeza's henchmen don't know about Benten. If we escaped with our baby they would only hunt us down until they killed us all. We have to let her go" Lorei told him as they felt the soldier's auras nearer. Lorei took the baby from his arms and put it inside her space pod. The baby was gurgling happily, but as Lorei's tears fell on her own little cheeks, she stopped, looking up to her mom with big hazel eyes clouding with tears. "Be brave little one. Be as brave as a saiyan must be. You are probably the last of a proud and mighty race." Kyabetsu told the baby caressing her face with his hand. "Farewell my little girl. We will always be with you." Lorei said as Kyabetsu typed a random course of trajectory in the ship's memory bank. "This is your end saiyans!!" came the laughter of they soldiers as they encountered them. "Get ready to meet your death!! Soldiers capture them!!" with that order a couple of soldiers ran towards Lorei and Kyabetsu. As the ship sailed away Kyabetsu and Lorei were apprehended by the soldiers. Lorei watched unable to do anything as they killed Kyabetsu. "Live my child you are our last hope. Don't cry over me Lorei, death only hurts a moment, after it, my love we will be together." were his last words before one of the soldiers blasted his heart out. "NOOO!!" she screamed but his body fell heavily to the floor. "Not you, not you... this is our end but your beginning starts Benten...." she whispered as she hung her head, her blonde locks fell onto her face as the soldier shot a thin laser piercing her forehead Meanwhile as the spacepod traveled through the cosmos, both goddesses watched over it as the baby cried itself to sleep. They delivered the ship to a red dry planet, with strong winds, unsuitable to live in. The planet had two moons, the planet was mars. A man in a mission to recover dirt samples and other little samples of rocks and stuff found the ship. His own tripulation had died when they had landed on the planet, it had been a bad crash. When he found the spacepod his first thought was to take it apart and use it's parts to fix his ship and get back to earth. His name was David Mildford. He rolled the spacepod to his ship and as he began taking it apart it opened and a little creature came out gasping for oxygen in the bad mars-air. He tried carrieing into the ship but it fought him off kicking and screaming. It was a strong little thing. Finally it passed out and he was able to take it inside. After a few weeks it recovered, and he noticed that if it wasn't for the tail the little baby girl could almost pass as a human. He started to love the girl as he loved his own, Annette, back on Earth. David fixed the ship and brought the baby home, the next month. He and his wife, Stephanie, told everyone that the girl had been born while he was away and raised the little red-headed girl as their own. But for just how long can a saiyan be hidden from the world? How long until Benten comes to discover there are more of her raze on earth? All this and more will be found out on the next chapter.
