Just about everyone in the world has made a JLA style Hal Jordan GL at one stage or another it seems. I've never had anything against Hal, but I had no desire to join the masses. That was, until I read JLA: Year One by Waid and Kitson I beleive it was. I really fell in love with the classic JLA, so instantly set about recreating them, a project I've only just now started to bring to a close, as I never got round to an Aquaman, but he is now in progress! But enough about Arthur, back to Hal. As you can probably tell, GL is a straight repaint of the short haired version of Superman, without the cape. I went with a slightly darker colour scheme to match the JLA release of The Flash, as I had no intention of remaking him haha, call me lazy if you will. The sealant I used on this figure, as you can see, seems to like to attract dust...so I never used it again! Maybe one day he'll get a fresh, dust free lick of paint, perhaps when I've finished Aquaman! Until then, he looks fine on the shelf standing with classic Black Canary |
