In my little mission to bring the cast of The Incredibles into the mainstream DCU, I chose to take Elastigirl back to her classic look, a nice simple but striking outfit I feel, she also put me in mind of Power Girl a little, I guess its just the colour.
I decided on a Medieval Witchblade figure from my Elastigirl, but wanted to reflect her powers, so I replaced the gauntletted arms with a long strecthy arm from a McDonalds Elastiglr toy, I think that worked rather nicely! I had to do quite a bit of sanding to get rid of all the detail on her torso, but I think it was worth the effort, she's ended up nice and smooth. I could have made the hair match the film, but I really like the long hair on the Witchblade figure, and had vague thoughts of that being elasticy too, so she could swish it around, use it as a weapon almost. As she stands, I'm really happy with this figure, I think I captured the film version nicely, but "real-world"ed it appropriately haha, if that makes sense! |
