I discovered that Fox Kids was broadcasting another anime except for Pokémon and Digimon. It's called Shinzo and although I've seen only like 2 episodes I'll try to tell the story. The girl with the huge eyes is Mikuno, she's the last human and she's trying to find more humans, who she thinks live in a place called Shinzo. The other characters are robots, some are her friends, but others want to kill her. When a robot dies, he transformes into a card. Among her friends is the brownred-haired boy called Mushra, he can transform into some sort of bird-man. There's also a large yellow cat and a guy with a helmet.

In the episode where these pictures are from Mikuno meets some little robots who worship her because she's human and humans built them. They show her a big battle robot that can only be activated by a human. She activates it, but then Mushra takes over the controls and goes to attack the castle of the evil robot king. Mikuno gets a message on a card that says that the king knows where Shinzo is. She goes to see the king, but it's a trapped and she gets captured and her helmeted friend gets turned into a card (killed). Meanwhile the little robot tries to take back control over the battle robot. Mushra is kicked out of the control room, but then, the troops of the king attack. When the little robot is captured by some robot bird Mushra transforms into that bird-man and beats him/gets beaten (missed that). In prison Mikuno finds a secret door that can be opened by a human hand print. She finds a room with a piano in it, apparently build for her by her father.

Here the episode stops. What I like about this anime is first of all the style, although most animes look like this. Compare this to Pokémon for example. I do like the colors of Shinzo better, but the bad guys here are really very ugly compared to Pokémon. One more thing: Mikuno's profile looks bad. Click on the thumbnails to view a larger version.
