"Clampdown, Pt. 2"

This is my personal sequel to the classic 1979 song,
‘’Clampdown’’ by the amazing punk rock outfit, The Clash from their groundbreaking masterpiece, ‘’London Calling.’’ Out of everything I have ever written in the past, this is sure to be the most controversial piece I have ever written. It is controversial, because I am against doing this sort of thing with other people’s works. This is the first time I have ever written a sequel to a poem that did not belong to me. I’m not sure how many people will perceive this to be.

There is a very good chance I most likely fall flat on my face for writing this. I’m almost sure many people will hate this, if not be very against it because the song and band mean so much to them. Well, just so you know; I love this song and The Clash as much as the next person and I meant no harm to them when writing this.

Unlike all the other poems I have written in the past, this one came out so natural and smoothly. I woke up, and something in my heart told me to do this. This poem was out of my hands. It was an outside force telling me to write this poem and so I did. It was unlike anything else I have ever experienced. Maybe what I wrote had to be said, maybe not. Maybe it sucks hard, maybe it doesn’t. Whatever the case, it is what it is. Take it which ever way you want.
