I
started building this web site in the summer of 1998, when I was living in
Toronto, to learn web design techniques
(and this is what we have). I've
spent many years studying art history and my doctoral dissertation focuses on
net.art and intimate performance.
Instead of being completely devoted to an academic career my interests
tend towards the use of technology in art, art history & the humanities,
information retrieval tools for research, the Internet environment, and
cultural studies.
"In my spare time" I
enjoy reading, movies, contemporary art exhibits, my latin ballroom dancing classes, and working on my Emotional Mobile Studio.
Esta página carece de versión en castellano, debido a los
efectos de globalización y disneyficación del Internet - y de nuestra
existencia contemporánea en general. A pesar de que políticamente siempre he
abogado por las lenguas vernáculas y glorificación de aspectos locales,
celebrando las diferencias en lugar de aculturación y estándares, esto es lo
que hay hoy por hoy. Esto se empezó a hacer en inglés porque se empezó a hacer
desde Toronto . . . supongo que hay más excusas pero creo que con estas ya hay
suficientes.
