Mad Gasser of Mattoon
		The Mad Gasser of Mattoon is a tall bulky, or sometimes lanky, figure who poisend the town of Matton, Illinois with poisonous gasses during the summer  nights of 1944.    Few people actually saw the gasser, but those who did claimed it looked like a large woman trying to pose as a man. High heel shoe prints were found outside of  gassed houses.    Sceptics and officials claimed that there was no gassing and that it was just mas hysteria, and so never investingated really hard. Don't as me what is so paranormal about a large butch woman in drag, but what is paranormal is that the gas that was used was never truly identified and that the Mad Gasser was never seen very closely.    Gassing incidents like this have happened elsewhere, but this is the most publicised.
