During the Bakamatsu, Shishio Makoto fought as a Hitokiri on the side of the Ishinshishi. Shsihio Makoto is a man who is completly shrudded in mystery little is known about him. However he was often compared to as the equal to the Hitokiri Bathowsai but he is in fact the sucssor of the Hitokiri Bathowsai. however the Ishinshishi did not trust Shishio because of his psychotic personality and that if his assinations were to come to knowledge the Meiji government would be ruined, causing chaos. So, during the Boshin war the Ishinshishi betrayed Shishio. They shot him several time even to the head, covered his body in oil, and burnt his body alive. Surprisingly, Shisiho Makoto survived the ordeal, although because of this incident his body was covered entirely with burned flesh causing him to wear bandages all over his body. With a new sense of revenge Shishio Makoto estabilished illegal connections to various organizations, recrutied soldiers for his cause and set up his generals know as the JupponGatana, thus he set out for his KuniTori.
Shishio Makoto is the god of all villains. Considered to be the most powerful villain in the entire Ruruoni Kenshin series he is a force to be reckon with. Shsihio Makoto would probably ruled Japan had it not been the 15 minute limitations. Although, it is because of that accident that he is strong. The only character that could stand and continue to fight after being struck by the full force of the Ougi of HitenMisturugiRyu. Anyways, this man is truly the strongest of all villains and probably the strongest next to Hiko Seijirou in the Ruruoni Kenshin series. Although his technique is a little cheap it's really unique and devastatingly strong. Truly utilizing his condition to the fullest and makes him one of the best villains ever created.
