You place your hand lightly on your sword, and look at each one in turn. The brigands grimace in anticipation of your next move. They brandish their weapons in a very elementary fashion; you figure you could take on two, but you'd have the others to deal with. You decide to make a show of your superior skill. You deftly draw your weapon from its sheath, making an impressive show of skill in twirling it lightly in your hand. One of the brigands drops his dagger. You boldly flick it back into his hand with the tip of your sword. "Missing something?" you say. You punctuate your feat by twirling your sword even more. You smile...just a little. That does the trick. The thieves flee, and you breathe a sigh of relief knowing that no theif will cross you in this forest after an encounter such as that. |
