Shortly after wrestling amongst guys like Aviv Maayan at the now acclaimed FWA Academy, he moved to the Dropkixx training school where he was spotted by "The Gay One" Vince Randall. The rest as they say, is history. His first major break occurred for Irish Whip Wrestling where he became a standout fan favourite and appeared at there first supershow, which feature talent such as Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles, back in March of 2005. Then, at 1PW’s A Cruel Twist Of Fate’s pre-show, he won the proving ground battle royal, last eliminating Chad Collyer in what was dubbed as a major upset. Burridge then defied his critics with a major victory of the ‘Anarchist’ Doug Williams on the first night of No Turning back to advance to the final 8 of the 1PW World title tournament at All Or Nothing. Though he lost to eventual winner Abyss in the first round, he certainly cemented his place in 1PW and proved he does belong amongst the best in the world. |
