James also made some appearances for the IWA teaming with Glamour Boy Shane, won the Intercontinental title and was part of Savio Vega's La Compania and was managed by Jose Chapparo. Along with Roadkill, James won the Ohio Valley Wrestling Southern Tag Team Championship from The Untouchables (Domino and Deuce Shade) on April 5, 2006 in Louisville, Kentucky. Roadkill and James lost the titles on May 27, 2006 to Shad Gaspard and Neighborhoodie in Louisville, Kentucky. He was then called up to the WWE. On August 4, 2006, James made his SmackDown debut when he was introduced (along with Idol Stevens) by Michelle McCool as one of her favorite "Teacher's Pets." The two went on to defeat Funaki and Scotty 2 Hotty with the help of McCool. The following week Stevens and James defeated WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick in a non-title match. On the August 18, 2006 edition of SmackDown Stevens and James ambushed the Tag Team Champions. James and Stevens had a lot of run-ins with WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick and the Pitbulls (until Kid Kash was fired), leading up to a title match at No Mercy on October 8, which London and Kendrick won. On the November 10th edition of SmackDown, James lost to Chris Benoit, tapping out to the Crippler Crossface. Sometime around March 1, 2007, The profiles of K.C. James and Idol Stevens have been removed (and deleted) from the SmackDown section on WWE.com. This will now leave Michelle McCool on her own on SmackDown once she recovers from her injury that sidelined her in November. However, they haven't been released as they are still under contract to WWE. Currently, K.C. James seems to be inactive. It remains to be seen if James and Stevens ever return to the main roster because it's not a guarantee. In early March 2007, James was moved down to the developmental territory OVW. He has recently been working in OVW alongside Cassidy O'Reilly as The James Boys. On June 29, 2007 The James Boys defeated The Major Brothers to capture the OVW World Tag Team Championships. |
